I cannot help but wonder if Chris Engen has read all of the positive things said about his storyline. Man he walked out on something big. He could have been huge. Love what Eileen said about him being unhappy when the writing got better. One day his real truth will come out.

Eileen Davidson is great. I loved this interview, and I love how candidly she just talks about stories and writing being good or bad or gross or exciting.
Eileen Davidson is near the top of my list of actresses in Daytime, but something about her portion of this current storyline isn't working for me. From this interview, she seems excited about the story, but for me, that enthusiasm isn't coming through on-screen.

Eileen is one of the most underrated actresses on daytime, and should easily have at least 2 Emmys on her shelf. one for her multiple roles on DAYS and least one or more for Ashley.
I need to get both of her books because i think they will be great reads. I need a good, trashy book i can read on the beach this summer.
I think the performance disconnect with Eileen in the current story might be because of trying to reconcile her being told that Ashley's not crazy while Ashley is being written as increasingly less sane. While I don't think her performances are standout, I think she's doing a perfect job to make this story continue to work without sacrificing Ashley. If she played Ashley any stronger, the story would no longer make sense.

Thats a good point. I don't think her performances are bad, I'm just not as into them as I would like to be. Part of it might also be that my favorite way to see Ashley is when she's strong and sexy and kickin a$$, like that scene when everyone was fighting for control of Jabot after Katherine "died", and Ashley marched in and took over and told everyone how it was going to be.
But, at least Eileen is getting a front-burner story, which is more than she got under LML or during her time at B&B.

ED's been great, just a bit overshadowed by CE's star turn. Too bad no there won't be any cougar action before CE bolts. They would have been insanely hot.
