Yeah, I'm afraid you're right, Crystal. I never expect much anymore from the nominations. I'm holding out a little hope that at least some of the best will get nominated, but I'm not holding my breathe.

But it is good to know that we will actually get to see the show!

I'm glad a broadcast will take place, but what worries me is the use of the term "cool event" and the lack of use of the term "Televisied Broadcast" which makes me wonder if that means it's airing on the web or some such non-sense. I am also slightly worried that if it does air on TV that it will be on some odd network like Oxygen or something that few people even get. But i guess a tv broadcast of any kind is dodging a big ole bullet.

as for nominations, i think we all need to brace ourselves for the fact that these nominations are going to blow as much as last years did. i fully expect CBS to dominate again, with most of the nods going to Y&R and GL and everyone at ABC being virtually ignored.

Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

I thought that it was interesting last year how much cbs actually dominated the nominations, but an abc soap ended up taking the top prize!!1

I think all the CBS voters pulled and strategized together to knock out the ABC competition. After all..CBS has more voters. I just hope they dont cheat this year.

What I find more baffling than anything is that CBS dominates the nominations yet the best players aren't ever nominated...Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott, Judith Chapman (this is up to debate with many...some love her, some hate her, I adore her), Jess Walton (not even a prenom), Victoria Rowell (obviously difficult to work with which means no prenom), Joshua Morrow, Sharon Case...Katherine Kelly Lang...

When I think of [currently working] daytime actresses who deserve an Emmy the most I immediately think of MTS, KKL and Catherine Hickland, and I'm starting to think it will never happen for any of them. Is there a prejudice against blonde legends?
