Umm..who is she?? I mean who's your next interview with, the 5th actor to play Kevin on OLTL? And nice plastic surgery by the way. I guess she went to the same doc as Hunter Tyler and Michael Jaskcon..

Jess Walton is the only Jill to me.

and i'm gay and yet i've never heard of her..so how big is she really in "our" community??

The only thing I can say about Dickson is that she is who she is and doesn't apologize for it and I have to respect that.

Nelson, um, that was one HELL of an interesting read I must say LOL. She seems like quite the individual!

To be as polite as possible, this woman is about 20 cents shy of a dollar. What planet is she living on?

I'm not old enough to have seen Y&R when she played Jill, so I can't offer an opinion on that. I've seen a few things on YouTube, and from those I can say that I prefer Jess Walton by a mile.

She is obviously totally out of touch with the business if she thinks the money is better today than it was back then. Plus, these statements of how she took millions of viewers with her when she left Y&R are a little ridiculous. Y&R has been #1 for over 20 years, so I doubt they spend too much time dwelling over the loss of Brenda Dickson.

I have to say it: I can't stand this woman.

Brenda Dickson is Jill to me. The dynamic between her Jill and Kay was something to behold. Walton is a better actress, but Dickson was and remains Jill. I've been watching youtube clips of Dickson's Jill, and the difference is staggering. The mother/daughter reveal would not have happened because the dynamic between Dickson and Cooper worked. Walton grounds the character too much so that the mother/daughter reveal was possible.

I would have loved for you to ask her about the time she came to work, shot some of her scenes in the morning, and came back after lunch to continue shooting her scenes with a new hair color.

She was amazing in her day, along with Terry Lester! These two will always be the only Jack & Jill (on Y&R) in my book.

She sure has a healthy ego. LOL. Great interview, Nelson. She sounds larger than life, and would indeed make an interesting reality tv subject.

I'd love for her to be on Desperate Housewives too, as a relative and polar opposite foil to Bree.

Well, you're the only one JWbull! LOL! I had so much to ask her and the interview was so long, I could care less about her hair colour. After all, she's not the first soap star to do that. It still happens today.

Brenda's Jill was a hoot but somewhere along the line the character became one-dimensional and her campy mannerisms and outlandish wardrobe overwhelmed the character. Jill became a cartoon.

Jess Walton brought more facets to the character, to say that she's a far better actress is a vast understatement and she's more than made Jill her own.

Fun interview.

Nel, i have been lookin foward to this interview ever since you teased us with it...and it did not disappoint.

Dickson's camp was perfection when she played Jill. The ONLY other person who did camp better was my beloved Darlene Conley (RIP Dar). Her Rose DeVille and Sally Spectra and Dickson's Jill should be in the Soap Opera Hall Of Fame.

Is Dickson full of herself??? Hell yeah...she is the female version of Donald Trump, but i love him and his huge ego, too. LOL

However, she is delusional if she thinks, in this day and age, that some soap will fork over a huge salary to woo her back. The economy is hurting, daytime is dying and, even though Ballsy Brenda thinks she can once again ( cough cough) bring millions of viewers with her back to daytime...well.....her dreams are bigger than John Callahan's waistline.

I know another soap won't sign her, but it wouldn't hurt DOOL or AMC or another Y&R time slot competitor to sign BD for a three-month run. Why not see if the fans are still out there? Imagine her as a Devil Wears Prada type love interest for Stefano DiMera or Victor Kiriakis? It could be a hoot.

Her ego is huge and she is something else but she IS Jill Abbott. Jess Walton's watered down sexless version of Jill doesn't compare.

Jess Walton's Jill only became watered down and sexless in recent years due to the writing. I hate what a joke the character has become. She's lost all her power and money and is written as a joke. Putting such an important character with those losers Gloria and Jeffrey (who should be written off) is sick. Jill should be as powerful as Victor and Jack and she's long overdue for a new love interest.

Brenda Dickson was good as Jill, but I doubt the character could've survived into the 90s and now with her. She's just too over the top and couldn't adapt to the changing time. Look at how ridiculous she currently looks. She's just not modern enough to bring any credibility to the show. She was a product of her time. Still, I would like to see her on another show like B&B, but I doubt they'd pay her what she'd want.

You deserve a Pulitzer Prize for this interview! Just fantastic!

Sure Brenda is a little nuts, but that is part of her charm.

I didn't find her charming at all...bats**t crazy, yes. Insufferably egotistical, yes. I can see how in an interview it's all fun to play into it, but no exec in their right mind would offer her a job!
If she gets $$ from this lawsuit she has, maybe she can pad the walls of her condo!!

WOW! Narcissism is such a sad thing. This woman is so full of herself I'm surprised her head doesn't explode. Honey, you've got nothin' on Jess Walton.

Walton is and always will be Jill to me.

And Nelson, gotta say I'm ashamed of you. Your loyalties switch at the drop of a hat. A few weeks ago you were up in arms at the prospect of Walton leaving for good. Now, with this Dickson interview you talk like you wish Walton had left so this egomaniac could return! What gives???

I can't stand her either, Zackfins. She's a bitter, delusional has-been. I found her comments about how she would never have allowed the writers to undo Jill/Katherine as mother/daughter absolutely hilarious. You'd think she'd get a grip and realize that that's why she was canned in the first place - for dictating what she was going to tolerate and allow. Pomposity is one of those pet peeves of mine. I cannot stand arrogant people.
