That AMC dance-contest storyline sounds so desperate and pathetic. Basically you've got a "Dancing with the Stars" plug and a Jerry Lewis telethon rolled into one. Didn't this used to be a soap opera? I'm all for good causes (GH's Nurse's Ball did it brilliantly), but an even better cause would be making sure AMC doesn't suck so its cast and crew will still have jobs in a year.
If Monavie cures bitchiness, Nelson, don't touch it. Your bitchiness is all that keeps me sane during a week of watching soaps.
Can't wait until the GL interviews. It's like the Bush administration over there; as soon as the ship sinks everybody's got a tell-all. Might have been more helpful before the show was doomed, but better late than never I guess. Hard to get in the heads of actors in a situation like that.

So far, my favorite has been Crystal Chappelle, who told us that on the final day of shooting at GL, there were 100 people crammed in a house in Peapack with no working toilets. Sadly, it doesn't seem like that was the first time something like that would have happened. I'll say this: I commend those people that stuck with that show for as long as they did once it started operating on a slightly larger budget than the allowance I give my 6-year-old.

Hearing Maureen Garrett and Crystal Chappell talk about the production model and its hardships makes me want to take back some of the harsh things I've said about the show's performances in the last couple of years (except for Tom Pelphrey, who lost the plot before the change). Actors like Justin Deas have been woefully inconsistent in their work, but if I didn't have a working toilet where I worked, I wouldn't do a good job either. Hopefully some of these actors can find greener pastures on other shows and remind us why they're awesome. As long as they don't end up on AMC, ATWT, GH, or B&B, they'll be just fine.

Kudos to Jacob Young on his comments about moving AMC from NYC to LA
They should of given the actors and workers notice they were possibly moving them. You don't say we are moving in 5 months right after the Holidays when many have kids and family they have to consider.
Kaye out, I suspect Minshew is out too Wonder about Canary and Knight??

Just checked out the AMC covers. Wow, those were the days when soap magazines were produced with effort and class. I remember the Who Shot Will cover too. :-)

I'd love Erin Hershey in the role. But then everyone here knows I'd love Erin Hershey in any role. I would have lobbied for her to be the new Adam.

I will say it now I will feel bad for Amelia if she gets fired, esp when she is pregnant, but I can see her totally going back to AMC as Mia for some reason if this were to happen.
And I was listening to DC recent podcast and they are hearing that Zimmer wants to go on OLTL (Our Boidiva02 pointed out on many occasions that she played a character previously) and Jeff Branson is looking at a soap in LA. Can you give us some dish.
And as for Peck, ITA it takes to to tango and I though during th awards he was sitting w/Teri C. And I think it is pretty odd (and this will play into 742 disdain about the SORAS) is that they deage Mike when he was back w/Jon Prescott was in the role, but they are brinigin back Collier in the role and they will act like nothing has happened.

SORAS doesn't bother me in principle. Sometimes it's useful, and sometimes it's even quite successful (GH's Lulu, ATWT's Luke). I just think it's overused, and if you're not careful, reckless SORAS can render a legacy character unrecognizable (GH's Lucky, AMC's JR).
Reverse SORAS, however, is just silly. When you take years off some characters while adding years to others, suddenly nothing makes sense, like when AMC brought back Del Henry and suddenly he was the same age as Kendall, even though I think he was robbing the cradle when they had a relationship in the '90s.

Kendall is a reverse-SORAS. Truth-be-told, Marcy Walker could play Susan Lucci's daughter (based on the age Erica Kane was when she had Kendall).
And wow, what great memories those AMC covers brought back. Those were the days for sure. I had to vote for Janet/Trevor/Harold.
I'll remind anyone Robin Mattson is my #1 soap actress of all time.

do you think MAB is secretly hoping Amelia quits when baby #2 comes - or she'll get canned when her cycle is up and they'll say its mutual because of the baby. I was obsessed with Tamara Braun as Carly - she has the strength to go toe to toe with the heavy hitters on Y&R but I'd still take Heather Tom over her any day. I actually would boycott if Erin Hershey got it - never cared for her.

Aw, I loved those old AMC covers. I, too, really like "Who Killed Will?" The "Heaven Can Wait" one with Tad is also nice. That story came out of AMC's first tornado storyline. The one I actually liked.
Thanks for mentioning how great Jon Lindstrom is on ATWT! I am just loving him as Craig.
Nelson, any word on how long Cady McClain is staying at ATWT? She isn't leaving when Maura West gets back is she? I am really liking her scenes with Lindstrom.
