I see my old "What DVDs Have You Purchased" thread has died so I thought I'd bring it back. This way we have a place to show what movies and TV shows we like so much we are willing to spend hard earned money on them.

Oh, besides mentioning what you purchased feel free to mention anything you might have received as a gift as well.

Last week I got the two disc version of "Knocked Up" (sorry Seanflynn) from Amazon. Have watched a lot of the extras and they are terrific, especially the fake doc about all the different actors cast in the lead before they settled on Seth Rogen.

I don't lnow if there's already an original one existing here, but I bought the season 1 DVD of The Riches yesterday. As always, it's fabulous.

And I also bought Arrested Development DVds. I wasn't an avid viewer before but I saw some episodes.

I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

Why would you buy a movie you know in advance would suck?

For Christmas I received "Superbad" (sorry 742 but I found it hilarious), "Hairspray" & "Band of Brothers". I will be exchanging an extra copy of "Superbad" for "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".
