Check out the brand new poster for Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire. I think Kris Tapley from In Contention puts it best when he says "I think it’s safe to say Lionsgate is winning the one-sheet war this year." Check it out here - http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/20...teaser-poster-debuts

Jim Sheriden's "Brothers" with Natalie Portman, Jake Gylenhall and Toby Maguire. Looks so oscary up until Toby goes bat sh*t crazy.
Based on the trailer, seems like Portman's performance will pack a punch.
Huh. A compelling concept. A man is presumed dead, and life moves on as if he is. And when he returns home in one piece, things are worse off for him.
I really felt for Maguire's character. I wouldn't know whether to feel betrayal or remorse if something like that were to happen.
It's about time that Maguire and Gylenhall played brothers.
Tidbit: Gylenhall was actually offered the role of Spider-Man before Maguire. ... You're welcome.

Don't know if this has been posted yet. In the Loop, a British comedy in the tradition of Dr. Strangelove and Monty Python, starring alot of people with funny accents: http://movies.apple.com/movies...width=480&height=260
Best dialogue:
MAN #1: It'll be easy-peesy-lemon-squeezy. MAN #2: No it won't. It'll be difficult-difficult-lemon-difficult.

So far, Swank is 2-for-2 with Oscar. I don't know if she'll be able to overcome Mulligan and Streep this year, but the film does look intriguing enough.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Normally I would be all for a roller derby movie, but I'm an uneasy about Ellen Page in this. It looks like a part that she could probably do in her sleep which is what I'm worried about. Plus, I guess she's straight in the movie judging by the trailer; maybe it was that SNL skit that she did or something, but I think she had a lot more chemistry with the other rollers. However, I am loooking forward to the movie based upon Gold Derbying now.
And also, I totally agree with you Mrs. Daryl Zero on Whip It. Nothing special it seems other than actually questioning Page's sexuality. It probably was that SNL skit!
