Indy's special effects were (aside from the script) the most horrible thing from the movie. They stuck to 1981.

And on this note, The Dark Knight is not that impressive either. If it gets in it'll be just as riding the wave...

Benjamin Button
Iron Man
those two should be locks.

I haven't seen any other except Dark Knight, and again, it's undeserving.

oh and Transformers was robbed. I just wanted to say it again....it'll always be one of the stupidest decisions these people have ever made. I mean bringing Optimus Prime and about 10 freaking robots to the screen is not Best Visual Effects material? And to think the winner was The Golden Compass, it makes it worse.

Why won't the Academy expand the field to five nominees?

EVERYBODY knows these three films have been locked in for months.

I really like this category. There have been some great films winning these over the past forty-five years or so.
Interesting to see Brendan Fraser is in two of these finalists, and he has Inkheart coming out this month.

I'm still ticked that Transformers lost this award to the Golden freakin' Compass. Transformers should've clearly won last year in this category. The effects in Transformers were unbelievable. Shame on AMPAS.
