I have seen a few movies where a particular scene/s has destroyed the whole movie for me These scenes can be either so predictable or just out of place from the rest of the movie.
Here are a few examples *The very last scene of the movie Broken - I though was out of place from the rest of the story and it was only placed there for shock value. *I also thought Gwyneth Paltrow's death in Seven was so predictable and destoryed the rest of Seven for me.

The very final scene of 'Clubland' ('Introducing the Dwights' in America) was completely ridiculous and felt like it had been tacked on by the studio. It nearly ruined what had been a very smart, funny, touching and well-acted film.
The dream sequences at the end of 'Lilya 4-Ever' didn't work at all and detracted from what had been a powerfully earnest, harrowing film.
I love 'Atonement', but the scene where James McAvoy dreams that his mother is washing his feet just doesn't work at all.

I have seen the movie - you didn't ruin anything for me. Regardless, I believe there is a policy against spoilers here, and plenty of people may not have seen the movie. It is one that got fantastic reviews and to say you are going to ruin the movie for people to save them from it is ridiculous. I you won't change it, I certainly hope a moderator will.
Just another example of the nastiness that has taken over the discourse here over the last few months.
Y'all are starting to sound like a bunch of cry babies. I was going with the topic of this thread which, to me, means what scenes in movies have destroyed the whole movie for you, so I mentioned one. For a movie that was released in October 2007. For those of you who have not yet seen Gone Baby Gone, I am not apologizing. As for the supposed nastiness around here lately, who really cares? At least it's made for something interesting around here. You have to admit that these threads have been dull for quite a while now. Do I think I was being nasty. Absolutely not. But nor am I whining about it like others. Right now, if it weren't for my comments in this thread, this thread would be dead.

The condom scene in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Too stupid.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

The entirety of Slumdog Millionaire up until the dance scene

The only thing I *did* like about the movie was the dance scene.

WATCHMEN: The mocking reference at the end to Ronald Reagan (my idol) as a cowboy aiming to be president. That one statement reduced my rating for the movie by a whole point.
