Yes, it has been sometime since checking back in to this superlative site However, just curious-(given the latest stats contradict themselves?) Please help & let me-(us) know exactly what is the total amount of OSCAR voting members to date? & I've been odds-making OSCAR since 1982 & who agrees, this has been among the weakest movie yrs in many???
THANX

This is a great question and I was wondering if it was posted anywhere on who is a voting member in the acting branch? I have found the press releases from the past few years but that only goes back to 04. Does anyone know where we could find that out?
The Academy will not publish a complete list of its members, the Academy will also not confirm how many members it has other than it consists of between 6500 and 7000 filmmakers. The academy has never confirmed if this figure also includes executives and what percentage of the Academy are voting members. The Academy has confirmed that the acting branch is the biggest branch of the academy, and believed to be over 1000 members, where as the cinematography branch was at last count 138 members.

I've always found it peculiar that the Academy will not make public the members list, but somehow, all the studios know who to send screeners of their movies to be considered for Oscar consideration.

ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS BREAKDOWN! Woods also acted as 1 of his sponsors Though they now obviously have quite a few younger folks on there-(may also acct for some of the offbeat winners over the past few yrs?) & again, THANX!

Goodness, that's a toughie! You'd have to figure out how many of them are single and available, but lets not discount the married members who have a special "arrangement" with their spouses. They're a promiscuous bunch, those Hollywood people. So, you should have no problem getting laid, dear. Good luck!
Psst... I've heard that Sid Ganis is a real stallion behind closed doors.

With the current semester coming to a close, it's rather alarming to discover your current state of mental affairs! What are you teaching your current collection of desperados one wonders!? Thankfully the approaching holidays will afford you some respite from what one imagines are wild nightS!
