Documentary: "Man with a Movie Camera" Runner-Up: I haven't seen all that many docos. They aren't particularly artful, and they are TV docs, but I really liked "It's Elementary" and "My Small Breasts and Me".
Narrative: "Persona" Runner-Up: "Nights of Cabiria" or "Maborosi"
Animated: "When the Wind Blows" Runner-Up: Hmm... maybe "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time"? or "Spirited Away"? or "FernGully: The Last Rainforest"?

The title of this thread is "favorite" film. That means that no one has any business criticizing anyone else's personal choice. The title is not "best film."
Boidiva has every right to name his favorites without aspersions being cast on them.
And for what its worth, Clueless and Heathers are both pretty good films.

I agree that both Clueless and Heathers were good films. But it's rich having YOU lecture us on ethics and moral conduct. You recently accused a fellow poster of "clearly not understanding racism", which particularly in this case, was patently 'ridiculous' (a fave word of yours). You then posted a dictionary definition of "Racism" for all of we clued-out morons, so that we "get" it. When you were called on it by at least two of us, you went back and deleted your posts and then, DENIED it. Unfortunately for you, you couldnt delete the responses you got.
Even though I agree with you, the spirit with which you express appropriate behaviour makes me laugh.

Grease. One of the few movies from my childhood that still does something for me. Teen pregnancy, drugs, pretty John Travolta, forty year old Stockard Channing pretending to be seventeen. Oh, the memories.
Only mentioning this because my reasons for deleting posts was challenged above.
I took down my response to Babypook's attacks because really who cares and I want to nip this renewed fight at the bud.
The one section that I will repeat, because it is true, is this:
Other when she attacks me, I enjoy and respect Babypook. She adds a lot here. I understand not only that she is popular, but why she is popular. She deserves it.
