This Tuesday, the American Film Institute will present it's latest entry in their "100 Years ... 100 Movies" series with "AFI's 10 Top 10".
The three-hour television special on CBS will celebrate the top ten films in ten classic genres: Animated, Fantasy, Gangster, Science Fiction, Western, Sports, Mystery, Romantic Comedy, Courtroom Drama and Epic.
For the past ten weeks, MOVIE DEAREST has been counting down to the event, taking a look at past AFI lists to determine the strongest contenders in each genre.
