Those seem better than the predictions for Best Actress since I think Meryl Streep would equate to George Clooney in that every pundit should predict them at this stage. Although to be fair, maybe they weren't sure which role Streep would get in, whereas with Clooney, Up in the Air is what's going to be pushed for him.

Paul Sheehan and I are predicting exactly the same things; although I do think Daniel Day-Lewis is the most vulnerable currently on my list. Jeremy Renner will likely put up a good fight for that last spot (if Invictus and Crazy Heart are well-received like I think they will be).

This is a much more believable list than the Best Actress one, and I like the fact that George Clooney is on a roll.

Shocked to see lots of Daniel Day Lewis mentions. He's one contender I'm iffy, and I think will be dependent on the Globes and SAG to see his nomination.

Not much buzz for Jeff bridges so far.

To Mr. 0'Neil, a bit surprised most predicted J. Renner-(though the film is a shoo-in) for a leading actor nomination. Not that he wasn't strong, but the competition in this category is stronger. & J. Bridges was also a surprise, especially in Freeman's likely slot. As you of all know they love bio roles.

Is Mr. 0sborne gonna' continue to throw his hand-in as well?

To Tom, just also saw the current early Best Actress possible contenders & am I correct in that you don't see Streep even earning her #16th nod for "Julie & Julia?"
Because this will be a likely BLOW-OUT! & her finally winning that 3rd *ACADEMY AWARD.

The only 1 that may take her is Mulligan.

Please let me-(& of course us) know though?

& strangely considering all the ultra-early buzz,etc De Niro is not yet cited by anyone?
