Well, The Mist winning anything makes me cringe. LOL. I know some here really liked it. I laughed all throughout the movie.

These awards baffle me every year. I'm happy for the charismatic and charming Will Smith, but I think Johnny Depp deserved best actor here. I think it can be argued that Cloverfield is NOT a science fiction film; but whatever. I enjoyed Enchanted but really, with the Harry Potter entry here I think this Disney thing is iffy. I see there is no mention of Sunshine or Golden Compass either. So what was No Country suppose to be? Horror?? Right.....with films like 1408 and even 30 Days of Night, now those were actually fantasy/horror films. And what is this International Film thing? Was Eastern Promises a sci-fi/fantasy/horror film to them as well? Ah well; better to have these kinds of acknowledgements than not, I suppose. Congratulations to all the winners.

No Country for Old Men could consider "Thriller" i guess... but given the award to 300...
I think Belen Rueda was stolen for that award. she is much better than Amy Adams, but i guess her nomination was her reward... and two spanish winning would have being to much.
But it is a pity that they dont reward foreigner performances... like Sergio Lopez last year.

Glad to see Cloverfield recognized for something, and I knew that Actor would be a toss-up between Depp and Smith, so... yeah. Pretty predictable, in my opinion.
Although Marcia Gay Harden's role was terribly written, I thought she did a great job at not cracking at some of the dialogue she was given. That alone deserves an award.
