Let's start this special thread just about what happened at the Golden Globes when Tina Fey dissed our forum posters by name! Whatcha think, Derybites and Envelopers?
HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED when she accepted the Globe and the video of Tina discussing the hubbub with reporters back in the press room later -- CLICK HERE!
Afterward, I ran into Tina in the hallway at the Beverly Hilton and APOLOGIZED to her on behalf of our resident rascals. Here's what she had to say in response -- PLUS what "Mad Men" creator Matt Weiner said too after he confessed that he lurks here in these forums often as well -- CLICK HERE
NOW --- hmmmm, as for our rascals, DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY TO TINA? Anything NICE, eh? You know she's going to read this! Do us proud, pls!

I would like to thank all of the people who voted for me! The people who didn't can break a leg because they suck for having an unpopular opinion. I want to thank my computer. Without it, none of this would have been possible. I also want to thank my fellow posters for being worse than me. Without them, it would have been tougher to win. One more thing, before I'm cut off, I want to thank Paris Hilton for being the role model that everyone always wanted!

Tina Fey needs to SUCK IT It's a good thing Sarah Palin wasn't so thin skinned If she is so insecure she shouldn't be a celebrity. Not everyone is going to gush over her. I can't even believe she used her acceptance speech to chide a post. I don't like or dislike her her acting I thought it was a waste of an acceptance speech!!!!!!
Tina was absolutely right that people use the internet to say things that they would never say to a person's face. I personally found the fact that she called them out in her speech to be funny. 30 Rock is the best show on tv right now, and with all of the awards she is winning for it, she can only thank her family so many times. I think that more acceptance speeches should be this way. Your family knows that you love them, even if you don't tell millions of Americans.

I think someone wants to get told by Tina Fey to "suck it" at the SAGs. I'm sure it was a one off thing for Tina....
unless she acknowledges that dlanefan and cougar-letter (aka Longoria and cougar-lover among others) are the same person lol
P.S. Just an observation but I think Tina is getting tired of all the Palin questions. It shows in the interviews but she just takes it in stride.

My goodness! It is wonderful that we have these new members on board, but it would be nice if some of them read or watched the news, at least once in their lives.
How uninformed does someone have to be to say "It's a good thing Sarah Palin wasn't so thin-skinned" when all Little Miss Caribou has been doing since the election is moan and cry about her treatment in the media. Just last week she conducted a long video interview and went on and on about how unfairly she felt she was treated. It all over the news just last week, dear! (Woopsy! I forgot. You choose to stay profoundly ignorant of the news.)
Anyway, you are entiteled to your lonely, solitary opinion about the quality of the speech. The rest of the world is entitled to ours. We also understand that it was meant as a joke. I'm not sure why you fail to see such an obvious fact, but maybe the reason is somehow connected with your not ever have read a newspaper in your life.
Oh, and I'm sure it's possible dear Tina will "suck it" if you ask her, but what's the fun in sucking two-and-a-half inches, maybe three when the belly's held in as tightly as it can go?
Ta-ta, dear!
P.S.: Hello and Mwah, Tina! Wonderful speech. I propose we use it as a litmus test to measure everyone's intelligence with. And now that we know you read these silly websites, I just want to say congratulations on your victory last night. 30 Rock is a wonderful show, but could you perhaps have only one plot-line per 30 minute episode? That might help this little ratings problem the show seems to have.

Oh, but dear I do watch the news and read the papers. Why so angry! Sarah Palin was maligned by the media. Almost all the newscasters agree on that, except maybe Katie Couric. I was referring to her skit on SNL. Sarah Palin did think that was hilarious and so did I. It was for entertaining purposes only and that is the way I took as did many.I speak only for myself and not the rest of the world as maybe you should. Obviously you and Tina Fey harbor some of the same opinions that one should idolize her. For what, being an actress. I am neither a fan or a critic. I believe an entertainment award show is just that. After saying this, I will no longer converse with someone that isn't armed with the least bit of knowledge on what is reality and what is not, Good-bye Dear!!!
Well first of all you shouldn't have apologized....people simply have opinions...did she apologize to Sarah Palin? NO! (she should've have done it, whatever she did or say it was her opinion)....Whoever talks about her has the right to do so...not to mention that it's the purpose of a site like this one and others alike...
AND! she should be thankful (I think she said it) that people watch the show for better or worse...
AND! what you should've done was thank her for reading the site (maybe you did)...it's always nice when somebody reads or acknowledges this thing you've been working on for like 8 years...

No. I was LMAO at the people Tina told to SUCK IT..just speaking for myself, of course (snicker). Because of her acceptance speech, I am now technically, a fan of hers.

agree...BUT she does the same thing after all...she says millions of things on 30 Rock and did on SNL for years and she wouldn't have had the balls to say it to that person's face...more than enough times she messed with people that had been or were going to be hosts on the show...
I adore this woman and was incredibly excited when she said what she said, but apologizing and feeling sorry for her is not fair at all...

G'Day, As I'm sure Tina Fey is glued to this thread right now as our opinion to her opinion about our opinions is at the top of her mind, thanks Tina for reading this site and taking an interest in our humble thoughts.
Anyone who is upset about Tina being petty or thought her speech was inappropriate is wrong. We should all get a kick out of an awards contender mentioning our fellow posters in a speech and take it in good humor. If Grey's Anatomy ever wins another emmy, I'm fine with the winner telling me to suck on it.
Tina's got a point about people on the internet hiding behind annomimity to say things that are hurtfull. However this forum on a whole has people just debating prefrences and offering their subjective opinions.
I persoanally think Tina Fey is a great writer, producer and comedic actress, not saying I would have voted for her in every award she's won, but it's to me pretty clear she is one of the most talented people in television today (and Tina I expect to be thanked at the SAGs!)
Congratulations West Wing, Emmys most honored drama. 27 Emmys including 4 best drama series "What's Next?"

Fey can write but can't really act when compared to someone like Julia Louis Dreyfus. She wins acting awards as a prize for her writing and being in charge of a show.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

Yeah, that must be what's happening. I can see all of those Emmy, Globe and SAG voters now "Well, she's not a very good actor, but I'll vote for her anyway because, you know, she runs the show."
Just accept the fact that a lot of people think she is a very talented comedic actor.

Tina Fey is the definition of comedic brilliance. She is brilliant at what she does, and though her character on "30 Rock" rarely displays the dramatic tendencies that some other comedic actresses do on their show, there is no denying her impact and the fact the she nails her character.

She is mostly a wooden stiff with no craft who can write really silly or funny things and say them passably.
