She is brilliant at what she does, and though her character on "30 Rock" rarely displays the dramatic tendencies that some other comedic actresses do on their show, there is no denying her impact and the fact the she nails her character.
She is the executive producer and writes a lot of her shows. She and her staff wont write stuff they know she can't do.
I don't think anyone has to apologize for anything. She is not above criticism on these boards.
WILLIAM PETERSEN: Well, this is a shock. The only explanation for this is that somehow in the last year, every one of you tried to act with rubber gloves and tweezers.

I love Tina Fey always have, always will and those people she mentioned got what they deserved, for sure.
She's absoultley right on when she said some people use the internet as a way to trash others, but most of us here are respectful of one another and have nothing but kind, interesting things of value to say.

Babsonlacrosse & Cougarletter/Dlanefan (they are actually the same person but she would not know that and mentioned both names). She told them all to "suck it"!

My favorite is that she told cougarletter to "really suck it".

Yes. That was a golden moment.
I know Dlanefan, I'll go with his current name, basically responds to any positive mention of Tina Fey with a negative post about her... in his head I think he sees Fey and "30 Rock" as the primary competition for awards to his beloved "Desperate Housewives". So I am familiar with his negative posts and opinions. I did not know Babsonlacrosse spends a lot of time knocking Fey. Does he do this a lot? Was she right to call out his name too? I mostly stay in the movie section so I am not always familiar with the goings-on in other forums.

Babson, who has since gone into hiding and changed his screen name.... hahahahahahahhaa
Now...where do I get in on all this Tina Fey slamming action? I want my name called out too!
She did make one mistake though. She called most of the posters on here "intelligent." (See earlier posts in this thread...)
And actually, what was funniest to me about the whole thing is that when she started mentioning the posters, they scanned the crowd (and the look on their faces was: Oh ****, she reads The Envelope too, and she's gonna mention it!). I thought that was most hilarious.

“How uninformed does someone have to be to say "It's a good thing Sarah Palin wasn't so thin-skinned" when all Little Miss Caribou has been doing since the election is moan and cry about her treatment in the media. “
How typically smarmy and hypocritical. What exactly was Tina Fey doing, if Sarah Palin’s comments about her media experience are “moaning and crying”?
“your lonely, solitary opinion about the quality of the speech. The rest of the world is entitled to ours. “
Sorry, English Teacher, fortunately, you’re not the world, but the expected outrageous hubris of a Sarah Palin hater is noted once again.
Tina Fey’s sudden undeserved popularity is just a symptom of the puerile hateful mentality Americans are now expected to “suck on” in “post racial America” aka “The Really Bad Winners Club”. Her fans here reflect on her as well as she does on her chosen candidate. That would be, not at all well. “post racial America” aka “The Really Bad Winners Club”. Perhaps the mildly talented sanctimonious Ms Fey will now grow up a little and inspire those of you who quite bizarrely think you are The World to follow along so she can read nicer things about herself on the internet.
At some point soon, we will celebrate a "Post Idiot America" so you might want to catch up.
Whether Fey deserves an apology depends on the nature of the criticisms. I am not well versed in the opinions and previous postings over BabsonLacrosse, dianefan, or cougar-letter concerning "30 Rock," so I can't say. To simply say that you don't like the show or performance isn't enough, and I'd say Fey should grow a thicker skin. But saying that Fey has a "smug smile," as she claimed dianefan said, does step over a line into unfair mean-spiritedness.
As for the controversy in general, it's thrilling to see evidence of the impact we make in Hollywood, though I'd rather it be evidence of the good rather than the bad. For instance, if anybody wins an Emmy, Oscar, Globe, etc. and thanks "742 for his tireless support," I could die happy.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)
In a night where Kate Winslet gets TWO awards, I never thought the highlight would be a Tina Fey speech! I was in shock when I recognized the names. That was hilarious!

dlanefan/cougar-letter (the same person) does nothing but talk crap about Tina Fey any chance he/she gets, and really doesn't bring much else to the table unless it's about Desperate Housewives.
This incident could not get any better. I love that show-runners/actors are reading what we post. Weiner made my day when he acknowledged the people that have been cheering for the great year January Jones had. Both Matt and Tina are correct in their comments about the freedom the internet provides but at least they know there are real TV fans here who appreciate the good work that's out there. I LOVE the fact that neither of them will sign on and join; that shows a level of groudedness.
In an unrelated note; Shonda Rhimes please read the "Grey's Anatomy" thread, skip over a few posts, and take note of the fact that there is major concern over this huge drop in quality and to be honest this fan considering not coming back next season.

Let's hear it for Gawker.com! They just posted an item singling out some of YOUR MEAN COMMENTS that probably got poor Tina riled up. Read these and decide for yourself if she's got cause to be irked and slap ya back! CLICK HERE
Though the comments were bad, if Tina Fey actually does read these forums, she should know that MUCH MUCH worse has been said about different celebrities on here. She actually has gotten off kinda easy (except for the vomit emoticons LOL) from her haters here!
