And the more you think about it, the more hilarious it is that she called these posters out! She knew they would be glued to their computers and the Globes bashing her while she would out doing her thing winning awards with the best of them!

I suppose dlanefan could be even nastier but he is relentless so I wouldn't say she gets off easy. Any chance to attack her and he will be on the attack.

Very true. I was looking specifically at the comments that that gawker blog posted. Some celebrities on here have been called some pretty bad names (check out the Ashanti thread in the Grammy forum!) But relentless attacks do get old.

I just looked at the press conference clips where Tom asked follow-up questions to Tina Fey. She knew very specific details on what "the haterz" said. LMAO. This is crazy. Gawker and Defamer have pointed this all out specifically too. And Matthew Weiner reads our comments here? Wow. That I didn't expect at all -- I got the impression that he would be the type that's kind of above stuff like this, but I'm glad he notices and appreciates his "Mad Men" fans like that, especially after that great season 2 that he delivered.

Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

From the little I've seen of the Grammy's forum I think that is the meanest forum by far filled with passionate "lovers" and "haters".

This is a sanctioned site of the LATimes, which is by far the most influential media source for the LA entertainment crowd. It is not surprising that those with net capabilities have come across it, and of course many people are interested what the public thinks.

Actually, I think the anonymous forum - as much as it can lead to over the top comments and nastiness - is valuable for creative types who have thick enough skins and self-confidence (which I suspect Fey does).

I almost never go to the other threads. Are they substantially nastier? That's the impression I've gotten. The Oscar thread seems to be relatively civilized, and actually with the core of many smart regular posters seems much reasonably mature.

I have to give mad props to you Tina Fey! I think you deserved your Globe win for TV Show Comedy and TV Actress. I thought your "shout out" to the posters that have insulted you on here was awesome! None of us expected you would not only name these posters, but specifically the ones here at the Envelope. I loved every bit of it. Good luck at the SAGs and Emmy's again. This time a shout out to the good ones. lol Anyway Congrats on all your success and its great to see you read this forum!.

Tina Fey, Honey, you are welcome to come on this board whenever you want to read what we've got to say. I've always been a fan of yours, I think that your the most brilliant woman on TV, er, make that the entertainment industry. You're very deserving of all the accolades that you get, along with your show.

Now, all you Tina Fey haters, SUCK IT!

The Grammy forum can get RUFF and The Emmy forum has it's moments as well.

I think that Fey's comments served an important two-fold purpose: 1) They legitimized sites like this as places where people give opinions on the entertainment industry that people really read and 2) It further established her as being an incredibly cool woman with a thick skin.

I am an incredibly huge Tina Fey/"30 Rock" fan, with a few caveats. Do I think that actresses like Julia Louis Dreyfus, Felicity Huffman, and Marcia Cross have a bigger range and more impact? Yes. Do I think that "30 Rock" too frequently fails to live up to its awesome potential and settles for being "very smart" when it could be "genius"? Yes. Do I think that the show's domination of every award show says more about the current lack of smart comedies on the air than it does about "30 Rock"'s ranking in TV history? Yes.

BUT...
Do I think that Tina Fey has grown so incredibly as an actress from the days of "SNL" or even from the first season of "30 Rock" that she deserves acclaim? Yes. Has her work as Liz Lemon, Sarah Palin, and - in general - one kick ass, smart spunky woman in a world of fakeness left an indelible imprint on the modern entertainment landscape? Yes. Do other posters comments that she's "smug" when she wins awards take into account her profound humility in thanking the "five people that watch her show," NBC for keeping them on the air, the profundity of receiving an award from the cast of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," or her comments that whenever she's not sure how to play a scene she just does what Julia Louis Dreyfus would do? Probably not.

Just my opinion.

Oh my. I thought it was freaking hilarious when Tina Fey called out people HERE in her Globes speech.

Tina, if you are reading this, I think you are great and I love 30 Rock. Congrats.

However, I am not really sure we should be apologizing. Yeah, some people are hiding under anonymity to say mean things. But, I I am not sure our site would be as fun if everyone was nice all the time. (That said, Cougar/DlaneFan was pretty relentless in the attacks.)

Anyway, thought the speech was fun. I am sure Fey can take it. If she reads here, she knows that there is a pretty wide mix of opinions. And far more people like her than dislike her.

They are bad....but take a look at the Grammy forum. Beyonce, Rihanna, Ashanti, and so on have it worse.

Without Sarah Palin she wouldn't have been the most entertaining person of the year, which she was by a country mile, she just would have been one of the most entertaining people for writing, producing and starring in "30 Rock".

I just bought the following URLs:

www.cougarletter.com and www.dlanefan.com

I couldn't resist.... Don't worry Tina, I will use the URLs for good. I started a web company calledScripped, which provides free screenwriting software/helps undiscovered screenwriters make a few bucks. The tech guy in me couldn't hold back from buying the URLs after Tina's speech.

Tina Fey has had a lot of support here, even before 30 Rock was on the air...there's always people who support and those who plain hate...that being said I love Tina Fey and I love what she did last night, it was funny and unexpected...mad props to her for making her speech the highlight of the Golden Globes 2009...and a well deserved award that she got!!!

How typically smarmy and hypocritical. What exactly was Tina Fey doing, if Sarah Palin’s comments about her media experience are “moaning and crying”?

“your lonely, solitary opinion about the quality of the speech. The rest of the world is entitled to ours. “

Sorry, English Teacher, fortunately, you’re not the world, but the expected outrageous hubris of a Sarah Palin hater is noted once again.

Tina Fey’s sudden undeserved popularity is just a symptom of the puerile hateful mentality Americans are now expected to “suck on” in “post racial America” aka “The Really Bad Winners Club”. Her fans here reflect on her as well as she does on her chosen candidate. That would be, not at all well. “post racial America” aka “The Really Bad Winners Club”. Perhaps the mildly talented sanctimonious Ms Fey will now grow up a little and inspire those of you who quite bizarrely think you are The World to follow along so she can read nicer things about herself on the internet.

At some point soon, we will celebrate a "Post Idiot America" so you might want to catch up.

Aaaww! A drive-by whiner.

Look quickly, everyone! These types never hang around for long.
