Simply whose oscar would you take away from them. Just think of the power if you could take a oscar away from the winner and give it to someone else. But that someone else had to be a fellow nominee from that same category.
And please I know this will start a Crash/Brokeback arguement please we have 80 years of oscars to go over ..... and nto just just that category LOL
*In 1996 I would have given Bravheart's oscar to Sense and Sensibility *In 1996 I would have taken away Mel Gibson;s directing oscar and given it to Mike Figgis for LEaving Las Vegas *I would take away Paul newman 1987 oscar for The Colour Of Money and give it to William Hurt for Children Of A Lesser God *I would take away Rocky's 1977 best movie award and give it to Taxi Driver. *I would take away Carol Reed's 1969 best directing oscar for Oliver and give it to Stanley Kubrick for 2001.

I would give Randy Newman's Oscar for "If I Didn't Have You" from Monsters, Inc. to either Dianne Warren for "There You'll Be", Paul McCartney for "Vanilla Sky", or Enya for "May It Be". Preferably Enya.
I would take Paul Newman's 1986 Oscar for "The Color of Money" and give it to Bob Hoskins for "Mona Lisa."
I would take away Whoopi Goldberg's 1990 Oscar for "Ghost" and give it to Annette Bening in "The Grifters" and take away Kathy Bates' Oscar for "Misery" and give it to Anjelica Huston in "The Grifters."
Then I would take away Angelica's Supporting Oscar in 1985 for "Prizzi's Honor" and split it between Amy Madigan for "Twice in a Lifetime" and Meg Tilly for "Agnes of God."
I would take away Marisa Tomei's 1993 Supporting Oscar for "My Cousin Vinny" and give it to Judy Davis for "Husbands and Wives."
I would take away Don Ameche's 1985 Supporting Oscar for "Cocoon" and give it to Klaus Maria Brandauer for "Out of Africa."

Since I think no one ever squandered their Oscar win more than Cuba Gooding Jr. I would take his Oscar and give it to... anyone I happened to come across on the streets.

I would take away Ingrid Bergman's Oscar for Murder on the Orient Express. The problem is that the 1974 supporting actress nominees had to be some of the worst ever. Probably the most uninspiring collection of performances ever complied in the supporting actress category, if not out of all the acting categories.
Here are a select few....from a list that is rather long:
-I would take away the BP/BD/Best Actress wins for "Million Dollar Baby" and give BP and BD to "The Aviator" (although "Sideways" would've been a worthy BP winner), and Best Actress to Kate Winslet or Imelda Staunton.
-I would take away Roman Polanski's Oscar for "The Pianist" and give it to Rob Marshall for "Chicago".
-Russell Crowe needs to give his Oscar to....well, any of the other 4 men in his category, but I would prefer Hanks or Bardem.
-Tommy Lee Jones needs to give his Oscar to Ralph Fiennes....or Leonardo DiCaprio....and then Jack Palance needs to give Tommy Lee Jones his Oscar.
-Oliver Stone's Oscar for directing "Platoon" should've gone to David Lynch.
-Agreed about Don Ameche. I love the guy, but this wasn't even the standout performance in his movie. If they wanted to honor an older veteran that year from "Cocoon", it should've been the snubbed Hume Cronyn. Out of the nominees, it should've been Klaus Maria Brandauer.
-Jack Lemmon should give his "Save the Tiger" Oscar to Al Pacino for "Serpico", but Jack Lemmon deserved the lead Oscar for "Some Like it Hot" over Charlton Heston in "Ben-Hur".
More to come....too tired and out of it to continue.

G'Day, obviously there are countless but the first that came to mind:
Take away Sean Penn's oscar and give it to Bill Murray.
Tkae away Rocky's best picture win and give it to All the President's Men
Take away Dustin Hoffman's Kramer vs. Kramer win and give it to Martin Sheen, and while I'm at it take away KvK's best picture win and give it to Apocolypse Now.
Congratulations West Wing, Emmys most honored drama. 27 Emmys including 4 best drama series "What's Next?"

Well, there's a lot to choose from. For starters, I'd take away that Phil Collins song You'll Be In My Heart from Tarzan, and give it to Aimee Mann's Save Me. I'd take away BP from A Beautiful Mind and give it to the far superior fantasy that year, Lord Of The Rings. And I'd take away Best Original Screenplay from Diablo Cody and give it to any of the other nominees in this order: Michael Clayton Ratatouille Lars and The Real Girl The Savages

Brava!
(Special thanks for mentioning Aimee Mann's "Save Me"!)
Originally posted by JayDF: The simplistic FAME anthem realizes Dolly Parton worked more than 9 TO 5 for her intricate theme song.
I could go for that or else take away the Oscar given to Three 6 Mafia for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" and give it to Dolly for "Travelin' Thru." It's a shame Dolly lost both of those contests. Hopefully she will earn another nomination soon so the Academy can finally reward her.
I'd also like to take away Slumdog Millionaire's Best Picture Oscar and give it to the true Best Picture of 2008, WALL-E.
