Forbes recently released its list of the top 10 hardest-working actors in Hollywood. They're all listed (in order) below. To see exactly how they compiled the list, click the link at the bottom.
1. Morgan Freeman 2. Seth Rogen 3. Steve Carell 4. Queen Latifah 5. Samuel L. Jackson 6. Will Ferrell 7. Mark Wahlberg 8. Scarlett Johansson 9. Johnny Depp 10. Shia LaBeouf
I agree with much of that list but I'm surprised Cate Blanchett wasn't on there. In the last 3 years she has released the following films (most of which are high profile and were probably not easy shoots):
* Notes on a Scandal * The Good German * Babel * Elizabeth: The Golden Age * I'm Not There * Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull * The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
(Random thought: it just occurred to me that if Indiana Jones gets a tech nod, her last SEVEN films will have received at least one Oscar nomination...)

I'd say the same about Meryl Streep, who's made eight films (about as many as Queen Latifah over the last 3 or so years, who happens to be at #4)...counting from the high profile "The Devil Wears Prada" up until now with "Doubt."
Interesting list. I mostly understand why these people are on the list. I am rather surprised not to see Meryl Streep on the list, she's worked on a very consistant basis in the time range mentioned.
a few names i'm surprised to see absent from the list: Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett are interesting omissions. As are Paul Rudd and Vince Vaughn. I feel the two of them have been in a new film each month!
