I'm sure a lot of people do, but I think Allen strains himself, and I felt like he was just trying to imitate Bergman but his filmed lacked the soul it desperately needed to work. What started out a good film with some interesting shots ended up feeling very forced and unnatural. I really think only the performances saved it, though I do love the look of the final shot with the 3 women.

Borat - Hated, hated, hated that puerile, condescending, nasty piece of work.
"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide." - Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

I agree with you on that. It was a fable at best. A bad fable that made absolutely no sense. Yet people loved it. I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that it will not age well. At all.
