That is what I was trying to figure out. Do the 21-25 choices actually get votes as if they were tied for 10th? Because that makes no sense.

I threw in the Alternates feature to spice things up a bit. But I do agree that 10 points is a bit excessive, I'll change it to FIVE.

Also, please bear in mind that the performances on your lists should be 2000-2009 *AMERICAN* RELEASES. Make sure to check IMDb if you aren't sure.

Thanks for the ballots, guys.

Regardless, send in your ballots!

I'm not the kind of person to rig the votes. The entire point of this poll is to get an accurate portrait of the GD groupthink. If I wanted to make a list of my own personal favorites, I'd just do it myself on Excel!

Sorry, I wasn't trying to insult you. I was just wondering how you were going to come up with the lists if you get all these ballots with all of of these different names... that's all... and then I saw your huge FYC list and was wondering how it was going to work if everyone has a big list with all different names on it... But whatever! This seems exciting and I will try and get my ballot on soon. And again, I'm really sorry, I really wasn't trying to insult you!

As the ballots get sent to me, I place all the listed performances in an excel document with who submitted them and how many points they get. When the 21st rolls around, I'll put the performances in alphabetical order and add up the point tallies, and then unveil the list based on which performances got the most points.

Maybe I'm just really dense (I totally am), but I don't understand why my alternative choices would get more points then 16-20 of my top choices? Shouldn't what I like (and everyone else) get a higher score? It would kind of mess things up, wouldn't it?

Fine, I'll change it to 0.5 points. That's fair. I was just following the rules for other lists like this on other sites, but this will please everyone!

If you need to switch out some performances on your ballots (eligibility requirements, repeats), I've PMed you. Check your inbox!

I must say I'm surprised at which performances are in the lead so far Wink

Don't forget to consider foreign-language performances, performances by non-white actresses, performances in independent films and non-Oscar-nominated performances!

By the way, if I sent you a PM asking you to make changes to your ballot (if you have a repeat vote or if you have non-2000s performances in it etc) and you don't make those changes by the deadline for ballots, your ballot will be thrown out - I've replaced the problem inclusions with a "TBD" on my master list and I can't work with incomplete ballots.
