Not sursprised by the RR diss. It's recieved good reviews but not passionate reviews, mostly everyone has sighted some flaws.

Congrats Kristen! All the PD haters can (SPOILER ALERT) Suck it!

But so did Doubt and it got 6 nominations. I am sure that RR will bounce back.

And there is the Marisa Tomei mention I was waiting for! I knew she would start gain more attention, even with the Spirit snub!

Now lets hope they don't revoke for nod like the St. Louis Critics did. roflmao

And I'm totally in shock right now at all the RR snubs and Kate Beckinsale making it in over Winslet, Scott Thomas, and Hawkins.

I'm wondering if something happened to make RR ineligible for the BCFA. Hmm.

LOL. Why did St. Louis revoke the nomination?? Not that it matters at all, but I didn't notice that!

Yeah, wow at the Revolutionary Road snubs...but I would like to say I called this backlash back in the summer. Cool

And YES!!! for Kate Beckinsale getting into Best Actress. Well deserved. This will start to pick up her buzz.

I have no idea. First the Golden Satellites revokes Viola's nod, now St. Louis does the same to Marissa. It's a mess.

Kate Beckinsale over Kristen Scott Thomas, Sally Hawkins, and Kate Winslet? Didn't see that one coming. They could have thrown a bone to Bill Irwin for "Rachel Getting Married" in supporting actor to make that field six nominees. That five could easily end being Oscar's final five. That's a great reception for "The Dark Knight" that I hope continues.

Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

Yes, but there've been a couple raving reviews for "Doubt" and it already has a few mentions in a few critics top ten best of the year.In no way do I think "Doubt" is a BP contender. But it at least doesn't have the blah factor that RR seems to have been anointed with.

Its interesting how Emile Hirsch hasn't factored into any race yet for his excellent work in Milk yet both of his co-stars are getting recognized for performances that are not as strong in my opinion. I'm not surprised about Josh Brolin as hes been good in so many quality films the last 2 yrs that he was bound to get nominated for something. But James Franco who I like very much by the way but gets in for sorta a simple role in Milk. I think if u drop Vera Farmiga in supporting actress those very well could be the Oscar nods. Surprised that Angelina Jolie makes it in over Sally Hawkins for Best Actress and I'm starting to think I don't have to worry about Melissa Leo getting overlooked as she keeps showing up everywhere. Also not crazy about Richard Jenkins nod for The Visitor a film that I was not crazy about. But overall I think allot of oscar nominees got nods here and thankfully none of the Rachel getting Married Girls in supporting and Marisa Tomei who was excellent in the Wrestler finally shows up.

No Rosemarie DeWitt shocking! No Kate Winslet in Revolutionary Road? No Michael Shannon? What a snub!

Go Wall-E for Best Picture!

I do not want to disappoint our Japanese public, especially Godzilla. Hahaha! I'm just kidding, I know he doesn't care what humans do.

yep, as i expected. forget about kate winslet winning lead if it isnt for the reader. she'll (sadly) have to work in supporting for a in-your-face lead role. lead actress is meryl streep vs anne hathaway, and streep is indeed the frontrunner. supporting categories look great, and i think supporting actor is locked, with only downey jr as unsure. supporting actress cruz, winslet, henson and davis are locks, the final spot going to either RGM ladies or marisa tomei. this is becoming really exciting

So, could Beckinsale and Farmiga actually make it into the Oscar race?

Does anyone think Pitt and Jolie will be snubbed at this year's Oscars like they were last year? Jolie got Critics Choice, Globe and SAG nominations for A Mighty Heart and if she couldn't get an Oscar nod, I'll doubt she'll get one for Changeling.

The total lack of nominations for "Revolutionary Road" surprises me! So as the snubs for Kristin Scott Thomas and Rosemarie DeWitt.

For Your Oscar Consideration:
Charlotte Gainsbourg, "Antichrist" - Best Actress in a Leading Role
Sharlto Copley, "District 9" - Best Actor in a Leading Role
Christoph Waltz, "Inglourious Basterds" - Best Actor in a Supporting Role

"Inglourious Basterds" - Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Original Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Art Direction
"District 9" - Best Editing, Best Visual Effects
"God Bless Us Everyone", A Christmas Carol - Best Original Song

don't see this coming at all, but how much would be great after this snub to see Kate Winslet taking best actress for RR at LFCA or NYFCA? Let's hope..

In 2009 the three best TV female performances in a drama series were all snubbed.
Shame to Emmy voters for not nominating January Jones, Alison Pil and Chloe Sevigny.
