well at least...AT LEAST! they brought back Male and Female peformance.....
So Best Picture....not that there was a lot to choose from, I knew something like this would happen, but Legend and Treasure? Seriously? Sure, big bucks, but I don't even think people will remember them....or DO remember them right now....
It's between Juno and Superbad....
The performances....Well again, happy for Cera, but Washington? I really thought they would go for Day Lewis because of their search for credibility.....And Knightley for Pirates? Please....But the real shocker here is Jessica Biel...why? WHY? This is not even MTV caliber sucky shocker, it's just something else...
Villains...yeah those seem right....whatver....
Comedic....Depp? Seriously? No McLovin or Ellen Page?
Fight....Never Back Down? There wasn't anythign else? At least the Dano-DayLewis fight at then end of Blood...that would've been awesome....
And WHY OH WHY if Alien vs Predator gets a fight nod, Transformers misses out on what could've easily been a category filled with fights from the movie?
And what do you know...there's Zac Effron....very nice for all those who refuse to predict this obvious (if ridiculous) choice over the kid from Across the Universe....
Summer movie so far? Sex and the City? Did they watch it? Or Indiana Jones or Narnia???? Please MTV, show some respect...for yourself....
this set of nominees could have been a lot better, but i like the nominations for amy adams and juno! overall, these nominees are ridiculous.

Nah. Pretty bad set of nominees but I'm just happy Amy Adams is rocking with three nominations.
We all expect that they'd go gaga for superstars right? Denzel, Jolie, Will Smith, Damon.
Atleast they separated Male and Female Performance this year. My rant would go to Jessica Biel who's an awful actress in an awful movie. But hey it's the MTV Movie Awards!
FYC EMMY VOTERS!!!
Please consider the following performances:
James Roday (Psych) Julia Louis Dreyfus (New Adventures of Old Christine) Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives) John Krasinski (The Office) Steve Carell (The Office) Hugh Laurie (House)

Well I'm happy Best Performance now has a Male and Female category. Not too sure why they didn't do the same for Breakthrough Performance. I miss the glory days of the MTV Movie Awards. Splie categories (Best Male/Best Female), Best Action Sequence, Best On-Screen Team, Best Musical Sequence... What has happened?!
My big disappointment is no Best Movie nod for "The Bourne Ultimatum."

They finally brought back the male/female performance split. Decent choices, but eight nominees for breakthrough performance is a mess though.

LMAO!!!!! Me too! I'll only watch it if she wins something (we get the show here one month after it's aired in the US).
------------------------ "There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions." Well, that's essentially how I feel about life - full of loneliness, and misery, and suffering, and unhappiness, and it's all over much too quickly. The... the other important joke, for me, is one that's usually attributed to Groucho Marx; but, I think it appears originally in Freud's "Wit and Its Relation to the Unconscious," and it goes like this - I'm paraphrasing - um, "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member." That's the key joke of my adult life, in terms of my relationships with women. " - Alvy Singer
I really thought they would go for Day Lewis because of their search for credibility.....
Yeah, exactly. I did imagine they would nominate Denzel in either Best villain or male perf., but not BOTH. I actually did think Daniel-Day Lewis was going to get a nod in either villain or male perf., possibly both cuz' of the whole "popularity" with the character and all; also the credibility that came with it. But I suppose its like the time they didn't nominate Helen Mirren, when she basically won everything. Guess I give those ass's more credit than they deserve. I just don't get how they could completely snub him, you know? DD-L in There Will Be Blood was popular with different demographics, so I guessed....well obviously wrong. lol
That being said, Superbad FTMFW! lol Or Transformers. Seriously, those two were two of my favorites last year. They ranked in my Top 10.
Hope the show goes well. Decent nominees for the Movie awards. At least they separated Male and Female perf.

Oh and I thought that Johnny Depp is a sure thing in Male Perf for Sweeney Todd. Guess I'm wrong.
Also, DDL should have been nommed for Villain. After all, they did nominate him for a weaker performance in Gangs. But whatever.
And who would have thought that Denzel would end up having two nominations?
Though I miss Best Onscreen Team, I'm happy that they also ditched Best Hero, Sexiest Performance, which were all filler categories. It would have at least been better if they put Best Musical Sequence or Dance Sequence rather than that.
Since they have already separated Male and Female perf, how about separarting Male and Female Breakthrough Performance too?
Lastly, no Transformers for fight. Woah! Yet Alien trash Predator is there. Haha!

Very true. I remember. Weird how he got a nod for that perf., yet he didn't get a nod for the more critically acclaimed one. I don't get it.
How did There Will Be Blood do at the Box Office again? That plays a huge part in nominations. I remember Gangs did pretty good commercially and obviously critically. Maybe thats the reason? I don't know.

I think Gangs was pretty liked by MTV because they also gave noms for Leonardo Di Caprio and Cameron Diaz for Best Kiss. So Maybe, they liked the movie after all. LOL.
The only reason I can think why DDL was left out was because of too stiff competition, plus there's already Javier Bardem to get the credibility spot.
