FYC OSCAR and GOLDEN-GLOBE 2010:
Meryl Streep - Julie & Julia Julianne Moore - A Single Man
How could I have forgotten about Cynthia Nixon??? Ahhh...
If she were to win the Oscar, then she would be apart of the "Grand Slam"... She already has an Emmy, a Tony, and a Grammy. All she needs is an Oscar!
2010 Oscars FYC:
Lead Actor - Joseph Gordon-Levitt, (500) Days of Summer Lead Actress - Meryl Streep, Julie & Julia Supporting Actor - Christoph Waltz, Inglourious Basterds Supporting Actress - Mo'Nique, Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire Original Screenplay - Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber, (500) Days of Summer

Grammy FYC: Kanye West, 808s & Heartbreak; Black Eyed Peas, The E.N.D.; John Legend, Evolver; Paolo Nutini, Sunny Side Up; David Guetta, One Love; Kelly Clarkson, "Already Gone"; Jordin Sparks, "Battlefield"; Kings Of Leon, "Use Somebody"; Maxwell, "Pretty Wings"
Martin Sheen is the biggest for me, his performances have had such a profound effect on me. While I don't like his chances I would love to see him win. Not even getting nominated for Apocolypse Now was a huge snub.
2nd would be Bill Murray.
Amy Adams would also be high, but she's so young and is racking up nominations so I'm not too concearned about her.
Will Arnett if/when the Arrested Development movie comes out.
Congratulations West Wing, Emmys most honored drama. 27 Emmys including 4 best drama series "What's Next?"

Michelle Pfeiffer Gena Rowlands Mary Tyler Moore (somebody give this woman a lead role in a movie) Glenn Close Leonardo diCaprio Peter O'Toole Lisa Kudrow Joan Allen Sigourney Weaver Jane Alexander Jeff Bridges (this guy doesn't have an Oscar???) Edward Norton Ralph Fiennes
In terms of previous Oscar winners, Sissy Spacek made a comeback with "In the Bedroom", Ellen Burstyn with "Requiem for a Dream", when is Faye Dunaway's comeback going to be? She needs to headline a great movie, it's been a while since she made a splash.

Yes, a Steve Martin oscars would be great. I agree acting is unlikley.
My personal favourite of his is Man with Two Brains (would have loved to have seen him get an acting nomination for that in 1983) although it's not an "Oscar" type of movie. It's one of my all time favourite comedies and his performance always cracks me up.

and i feel it would also be nice to see Demi Moore get an Oscar Nomination, i believe she is very long overdue... But for that to happen she'd have to start taking part in more ambitious projects that carry more weight.
Yes, too bad she spends all her time watching over Ashton, and smacking around any poor young thing that gives him a double take with her rolled-up newspaper.
I thought most old ladies kept a can of tuna in their purse. So I don't see why she'd need a newspaper.

Claire Danes. I would love to see her win one, but i almost feel like if she was going to win an Oscar it would have been at the height of her popularity and that is clearly long past. I feel like she's going to have to be content with just being a respected actress.
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

LOL, but nothing beats the joke about Demi Moore being "very long overdue"!
