fight for the future of film

I agree with you that she's nowhere near biopic status yet (unless the film is an ensemble a la W., but hopefully better), but she HAS been a valuable Chicago community leader and has done some good stuff there. :S

No, but they should.

One biopic I would really like to see is one about Margaret Sanger, but she's white so that's O-T.

Sunrise at Campobello? (okay maybe not Eleanor entirely, but Greer Garson got a nod for playing her here)

I thing Blacktie may be referring to an "Obama" biopic, where Regina King gets the role of Michelle.

I can see it now "O" starring Will Smith, Regina King and Oprah as "herself". Oprah may be an Oscar winner after all LOL

Mines would have to be Jeff Bridges, Ed Harris and Liam Neeson - still don't understand why any of these great actors don't have an Oscar on their mantle. It's a crying shame!!!

For the women I would love to see Claire Danes, Diane Lane, Laura Linney, Uma Thurman and Julianne Moore.

I would really like to see Dakota Fanning received a nomination while she is this young and then go on to win for her third or fourth nomination when she is a little older.

Viggo Mortensen is highly deserving. Hope he get's one soon. Still can't believe he did not get a nod for "A History of Violence".

Maria Bello - Something tells me the Academy does not love her. How else do you explain her Golden Globe nominated turns in "The Cooler" and "A History of Violence" and yet no Oscar nominations. I really want her to win one someday.

Meryl Streep - please give her a third and fourth soon and please make them both be in the Leading Actress Category!!!

What? Leo doesn't give emotionless acting. Over the last few years, he's become one my favorite actors. The Aviator, The Departed, Blood Diamond, he was Oscar-worthy in all of the those.

Leo was close to deserving a win for 'The Aviator' and 'What's Eating Gilbert Grapes' and worthy of a nom for 'Catch Me If You Can'. Anything else is out of the question.

Congrats Kristen! All the PD haters can (SPOILER ALERT) Suck it!
