Upon doing some research on the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, I found out that the statuette is not actually awarded to the film's director, but the country that officially submitted the film. This led me to wonder where the Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film are? Who has them?
For instance, I know that the Oscar won by
The Barbarian Invasions in 2004 was until recently on display in a Quebec museum. Does anyone know where it is now? Does anyone know if Pedro Almodovar, Ang Lee or Roberto Benigni actually possess the Foreign Language Oscars for their films that received the honor?
Thanks to anyone who can help provide this information.
