I wish they had the nomination announcement from '92...when they announced 'Beauty and the Beast' as a Best Picture nominee, there was a loud gasp from the media. I remember that so vividly.

Misery was on last night and I watched it with a new apperication for Kathy Bates as an actress. She won that Oacar in 91 and still makes great movies today.
Wow, I guess back in '77 they didn't care about the "oh I lost be happy for the winner and smile as big as possible" face LOL. Those women did NOT look pleased!! Especially Talia Shire and Liv Ullman!

I know! I LOVED how honest they were back than. None of the Politically correct losers faces. In the clip where Ingrid Bergmann won it looked like Diane Ladd was going to have a stroke she was so nervous. And Madeline Kahn gave the fakest surprise face when Tatum O'Neal won
After I watched Ennio Morricone's Honorary Oscar I felt disappointed that the clip didnt play some of his work. But at the end of it, there are two biblio-doc boxes to click on so I did. And there they were, including a few shots of Days Of Heaven and all of the other great films he scored. Thanks for these links; they are all fairly entertaining.

Has anyone else noticed that ever since there's been an "Oscars" channel on Youtube, it's been impossible to find anything else Oscar-related on there that regular people have uploaded? I know for a fact that I've watched some videos before and now they are nowhere to be found. If they are going to get people's videos removed because they aren't official then they really should include A LOT more on their own list. Sorry just had to vent.

But what reaction could you expect from these women? Did you see their faces when they announced them as nominees? They looked bored, they didn't want to be there, they didn't care, not even the camera man or the director had the intention of capturing their faces or staying there, and who would bother with those faces? the only semi-happy one was Sissy Spaceck who looked 8 years old...
