I think people are grossly under predicting The Dark Knight, this is Heath Ledgers last box office film ever, and it will do gangbusters.

I think Iron Man will do well, probably top thre or 4 of the summer.

These will be the top five of the summer
Indiana Jones
Narnia
The Dark Knight
Wall-E
Iron Man

I don't think Wanted is going to be top 5 of the summer, but I think it should easily do more than $40-50 million.

Congratulations 2008 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings!!!

Yeah, if you think "The Dark Knight" is gonna make less than "Batman Begins", you're crazy.

Not only does it have the Ledger hype, it's a sequel to a a movie that everyone seemed to love and would love to see a sequel (just like the Bourne movies).

Paddy, you're really under-predicting Tropic Thunder and Get Smart, while overpredicting SATC and Speed Racer.

Speed's tracking is disastrous right now

I think Han**** will outgross Narnia. Will Smith + teen-friendly Sci-Fi + July 4th weekend = consistent

I think people are underestimating SEX AND THE CITY. The movie is rated R, which means its diehard fan base will flock to it even more because they know it won't be tamed. It's biggest demographic is women and gay men. And women plus gay men + the dragged boyfriends = big profits. This movie will be big.

'Big' as in big explosion? Like, the kind a bomb makes?

I'm-a gonna keep an eye on this prediction. I'd wager me some war profiteering moolah that it's gonna be the flubbed prediction of the year.

I agree. While I'm sure that there are diehard fans that will go see it. I don't think it's the cultural phenomenon that it once was. The television finale pretty much tied up all the loose ends anyway, so I don't really think that much will change in the movie because there really shouldn't be any conflict. About the only draw besides seeing the four characters again, although perhaps TBS showing the show every night might be enough for most people to get their fix, is the new outfits, and I'm not really sure that's enough to get other people than the diehard fans to go see it.

“The Dark Knight”
“Pineapple Express”

I don't know about Made of Honor that has bomb written all over it because of it coming out the same time as Iron Man. Of course, the expectations might be lower for it, so it might not be considered a total bomb. THere's no way it will be one of the biggest movies of the summer.

Also, not sure about Get Smart. I like Steve Carrell, and found the trailer generally funny, but he and Anne Hathaway look like father and daughter to me. Plus, I don't know if younger people will really be all that interested in seeing it since I don't think that Nick at Nite or TV Land or whatever even shows those really old series anymore.
