With Oscar hopefuls like Gabby Sidibe, Abbie Cornish, Carey Mulligan, Jeremy Renner, Michael Stuhlbarg, Christoph Waltz, Anna Kendrick and Mo'Nique, I'm hoping this year's Oscars is more about the fresh new talent than the old, fading ones.
As of right now, the only seniors that have a solid shot at nominations are Morgan Freeman and Judi Dench. Depending on The Last Station reception, Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer might be added to that list, but that SHOULD be it, as far as the oldies go.
