Umbrella was a bigger hit in Love In This Club I think. It deserves a mention in the list but I'm guaranteed it won't be nomianted.
FYC EMMY VOTERS!!!
Please consider the following performances:
Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) Julia Louis Dreyfus (New Adventures of Old Christine) Steve Carell (The Office) Hugh Laurie (House) Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother)

Is there any way we can find out about Radiohead's Grammy eligibility? If they are eligible, I would consider "In Rainbows" to be a serious AOTY contender.
"Home After Dark" should be added to the list as an Album of the Year contender. It has given Neil Diamond great publicity (his first number one on the album chart) and it's produced by Rick Rubin. He may be unbeatable in Male Pop Vocal Performance if they decide to submit anything in that category.

I agree. NARAS loves to shower and reward their vetarans. I could easily see Neil Diamond getting AOTY, Pop Male Vocal and Pop Album nominations as well as some Rock nominations.
I honestly think As I Am will be the only urban album in Album of the Year.
I am going to call it right now: "As I Am" will NOT make it into the AOTY line-up.
Wow that was a bold call. I like it. But I disagree. ALicia is a Grammy darling (blah, blah, blah) and her album is selling quite well (blah, balh, blah) and she received better than decent reviews (blah, blah, blah). I think that the Grammys will be hard pressed to pass on ALicia if and when she makes the short list of AOTY contenders. Unless someone has a massive breakout in the coming months (critical AND commercial), her album will NOT be passed over 5 times when they name the nominees.

People thought the same thing about "Songs in A Minor" and "Diary of Alicia Keys" and neither nabbed a Grammy nod for AOTY.

"The Diary Of Alicia Keys" was nominated for Album Of The Year in 2005!
I can't imagine Grammy darling Alicia not making the Album of the Year lineup. They love to kiss her ass. Though whether or not she should be nominated is questionable, it just doesn't seem logical and/or likely that she won't be.
She'll probably be the most nominated artist overall, as well.

I don't think it will either. As of now, I'd say Alicia Keys is getting into AOTY. That could change as the months go on, but I doubt it. At this point, As I Am is the only R&B album with the best shot. NARAS likes to represent an album from each genre in AOTY.
This year for AOTY is kinda odd because of the fact that three of the year's biggest sellers are likely going to be R&B albums (Alicia, Mariah, Usher).
The last time 2 R&B albums made it in was when both Alicia & Usher's albums were out, and there's no doubt in my mind that that huge duet of theirs helped both of them land AOTY nods. The question this year is whether or not more than one of them makes it in.
One thing I can assure you is that, of the 3, Alicia will get in easily. She's a lock, IMO. I don't see Mariah making it in this time around because she only gets AOTY nominations when she has songs that can get into either ROTY or SOTY (or both). Right now, IMO, neither of her singles deserves to be nominated in either category. Meanwhile, "Like You'll Never See Me Again" is certainly an SOTY contender.
I fully expect Alicia to be the leading nominee overall.
Right now, As I Am is the only R&B album that I can see cracking the AOTY lineup. Only time will tell whether or not Usher and/or Mariah make it in, but I doubt Mariah does it. We'll have to wait a few months to see how Usher does before we make the same or opposite judgment.
In the country field, Lady Antebellum is on the verge of exploding. If a country act is included in the Best New Artist noms, they should get it. Their debut album is fantastic, and it deserves a Best Country Album nomination. "Love Don't Live Here" will probably be nominated for Country Group/Vocal. However, the killer gem of a track on their CD is "I Run To You." If that is the next single, then it could possibly sneak into the group or Country Song categories.
And...can we just inscribe the Grammy now to George Strait for "I Saw God Today?" He is LONG overdue for a win. He may finally have it, with this single or Country Album ("Troubadour") - and deservedly so.
These are a few of my current predictions in some randomly picked categories:
Best New Artist Estelle Leona Lewis One Republic Sara Bareilles Lady Antebellum
Best Female Pop Vocal Performance "Finally," Fergie "Take A Bow," Rihanna "Love Song," Sara Bareilles "Bleeding Love," Leona Lewis "Touch My Body," Mariah Carey
Best Male R&B Vocal Performance "Closer," Ne-Yo "Never," Jaheim "With You," Chris Brown "Moving Mountains," Usher "Customer," Raheem DeVaughn
**Jaheim's "Never" should be added to the contenders list for this category!!!
Best Female R&B Vocal Performance "Honey," Erykah Badu "Stay Down," Mary J. Blige "Heaven Sent," Keyshia Cole "The Way That I Love You," Ashanti "Like You'll Never See Me Again," Alicia Keys
**Keyshia Cole's "I Remember" is ineligible because it was submitted last year; "Heaven Sent" should be put in its place on the contenders list!
Best Contemporary R&B Album Shine, Estelle Here I Stand, Usher E=MC2, Mariah Carey Exclusive, Chris Brown Discipline, Janet Jackson

Sheryl Crow will get nominated again.
She was even nominated for a non-hit two years ago.
