I survived.
It was awesome, sweaty, drunken, hot, drug fueled (not for me!), dusty, rainy, awesome, tiring. I saw all or part of: MGMT, Battles, Vampire Weekend, Jacob Dylan, Ladytron, Grand Ole Party, Steel Train, Tegan and Sarah, the Raconteurs, Rilo Kiley, MIA, My Morning Jacket, Against Me!, Mastadon, Ben Folds, Chromeo, Broken Social Scene, Cat Power, Yonder Mountain Orchestra, Robert Plant and Allison Kraus, and Death Cab for Cutie.

It was beyond words. I will elaborate if anyone wants me to. Not tonight, after about 3 hrs of sleep and a 12 hr car ride, I'm dead.

And seriously, anyone seeing anything live this year? Anyone for Colplay, Madonna, any other festivals? I feel I constantly talk about it and no one else does. LIVE MUSIC IS IT, GUYS. It seriously doesn't get better.

Everyone in Africa knows Swedish.

If people I don't even know look at me and want to f*ck me, it means I have a really good shot at being a model.

I've seen Mika and Beyonce live recently. I had tickets to see Amy winehouse but she bottomed out. I'm glad you had a fun time.

I usually don't go to the festivals with all the stinky, drugged out, hippies but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I went to the Glow in the Dark concert. It was amazing. I loved it. Everyone did good. Kanye, Lupe, Rihanna, AND N.E.R.D. This is coming from someone who isn't even a big fan of N.E.R.D. So, everyone did good.

Oh, btw, was this the festival where M.I.A. said she would retire and thanked everyone for coming to her "last show" ?

Yeah it was. I actually didn't here her say it, there was about a billion people shoved into a tiny tent, and she had all these fans on stage. Anyway, it wasn't until I started reading the blogs that I saw she said that. I really doubt she's done.

I hope now.

Oh, thanks.

Well, if Ladytron, MGMT, Chromeo, and M.I.A. had a proper "concert", I'm sure I would've gone. I absolutely love them.

Bringing this from the depths of the fourth page.

I went to Virgin Mobile Festival in Baltimore again this weekend, for third time. It was a different experience (my festival/concert buddy couldn't afford it) but it was fun nonetheless.

Saturday I saw: KT Tunstall, Duffy, Lupe Fiasco, Bloc Party (****ing awesome!), Rodrigo y Gabriella, The Offspring, Chuck ****ing Berry, and the Foo Fighters.

Sunday I saw: Chromeo, Paramore, She and Him, Lil Wayne (this a-hole came on 50 minutes late, screwing up the rest of the day. And he was BORING. We left him after two songs), Iggy and the Stooges, the Black Keys, Bob Dylan, and Kanye (I liked him a lot, totally made up for Bonnaroo).

Anyways, my top 3 of the weekend would be: Bloc Party, Kanye West, and Paramore probably.

next up, Madonna in November. Although I might convince people to see Stars and Tegan and Sara with me.

This summer I've seen...

Kanye West & Glow In the Dark Tour (Kanye was amazing; I gained new respect for Rhianna cause she can really sing AND she covered MIA's "Paper Planes"...this was before that song got big).
Robert Plant & Alison Krauss (Krauss' voice is crazy good)
Jamie Lidell (possibly the most energetic show I've ever seen)
Duffy (she's adorable)
City and Colour
Cat Power
Chromeo (so good live)

Emmy FYC:
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, The New Adventures Of Old Christine

Choose QUALITY over buzz.

Oh finally GH, somebody else that's seen stuff! I totally agree about Rihanna, I definitly got a newfound respect for her after I saw her open for Kanye. I'm very jealous of you seeing Lidell, I hear he puts on a great show. I too have seen Cat Power, Duffy, Chromeo (three times, haha, so fun), and Plant and Krauss.

What is City and Colour??
