Spice Girls didn't get nominated for anything for the year 1997.
Tamia was snubbed for "strangers in my house"
Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss didn't get nominated in country field.
Martina McBride was tragically snubbed for "Anyway"
Brian McKnight's "Back at One" didn't get nominated for Song of the Year or Best Male R&B Vocal
Whitney Houston has no Best New Artist nominations and a bunch of Legendary Performers/Musician.
Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" (nominated) Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (win) Coldplay's "Clocks" (win) for Record of the Year but was overlooked at their respective genre fields. That was so shocking.

Coldplay's "A Rush of Blood to the Head" snubbed for AOTY.
Nelly Furtado's "Loose" getting snubbed in ALL general fields, even "Say It Right", which was snubbed majorly for ROTY and SOTY, and even "All Good Things (Come To An End)" for SOTY.

Those are some off the top of my head that baffle me.

Yeah that one still irks me to no end. The fact is that if Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears, Hanson, Ciara, Sisqo, Backstreet Boys or Color Me Badd can be nominated than Spice Girls who were among the most popular acts of the 90's really should have been nominated. I know it's not cool to like Spice girls but the truth is they were definetly worthy of a Grammy Award.
in 1997 the nominees for New Artist were Jewel, Garbage, No Doubt, Leeann Rimes and The Tony Rich Project. It would have been more than acceptable to replace Tony Rich or Jewel with Spice Girls.
I would also say that based on sales alone they deserved nods for Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year (Wannabee).
Considering they nominated HANSON in 1998 and Backstreet Boys in 1999 than i believe Spice Girls were also worthy.
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

I always thought Anna Nalick should have had 2 nominations for "Breathe (2 a.m.)" (Song of the year and Pop Female). I also thought she should have been nominated for Best New Artist.

She deserved a BNA nomination, Irregardless if her album seemed boring or bland she was an artist who had a good debut and a set of great singles. If Norah Jones who is a walking sleeping Pill can get a BNA one, then Leona can too. And if other forgettable names can get one as well, she should of gotten one as well considering the year she had. The woman had the Best Selling Single of that Year, sold respectfully, and has a great voice. She deserved a BNA nom. End of story.
