Spent 4 hours watching an array of live performances from various artists and I thought of sharing some of which I think were spectacular. So I thought of starting a thread where people can post great live performances that possibly aren't familiar to a lot of people. I discovered bands like The Script and artist like Damien Rice after watching their live performances long ago so yeah...
Matt Giraud - Hard to Handle (Cover) - Tacoma link -awesome vocals, amazing showmanship, just thought this was neat
Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone - Late Night with David Letterman link -haunting, simple, separates it from Halo, I thought this was the song's best live performance
Pink - What's Up (cover) - I'm Not Dead Tour link -amazing amazing amazing cover of the four non blondes song, wonderful vocals
Bruce Springsteen - The River - Live in NY link -just plain beautiful
Kelly Clarkson - Up To The Mountain - Idol Gives Back link
This is one of my favorite performances of this song. I love that she's singing to the remixed, dancier version. It lightens the song up a bit...I think it's pretty cool. This was from a few days ago at the OC Fair.

Only Thom Yorke could twitch around the stage and still take the best performance of the night title.(made by yours truly)
That Radiohead performance got me going insane. I love the incorporation of the marching band. It was freakin' awesome. I remember watching it and thought to myself what a genius Thom Yorke is.

Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."
"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC

HAHA so true. They were one of the reasons for me to watch the 2009 grammys. It was GREAT! hahaha\
and the KC performance of Never Again remix was crazy. It such a vocal straining song imo and she pulls it off everytime!
Great choices guys. I loved those Radiohead, Jennifer Hudson, and Christina Aguilera performances too. I'll try to think of more.

I saw this live in Toronto. Great duet between John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae.
