Spent 4 hours watching an array of live performances from various artists and I thought of sharing some of which I think were spectacular. So I thought of starting a thread where people can post great live performances that possibly aren't familiar to a lot of people. I discovered bands like The Script and artist like Damien Rice after watching their live performances long ago so yeah...

Matt Giraud - Hard to Handle (Cover) - Tacoma
link
-awesome vocals, amazing showmanship, just thought this was neat

Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone - Late Night with David Letterman
link
-haunting, simple, separates it from Halo, I thought this was the song's best live performance

Pink - What's Up (cover) - I'm Not Dead Tour
link
-amazing amazing amazing cover of the four non blondes song, wonderful vocals

Bruce Springsteen - The River - Live in NY
link
-just plain beautiful

Kelly Clarkson - Up To The Mountain - Idol Gives Back
link

Leona Lewis - Run - X-Factor
link

Bumping this as I think it's a cool idea for a thread.

^Kelly Clarkson, Never Again - OC Fair, 2009

This is one of my favorite performances of this song. I love that she's singing to the remixed, dancier version. It lightens the song up a bit...I think it's pretty cool. This was from a few days ago at the OC Fair.

Nelly Furtado - Say It Right at the AMAs.

Amazing.

Bjork - Earth Intruders (Somewhere in France) from Voltaic

Best Earth Intruders performance but I hate it when she doesn't hold that note! I know she can.

Janet Jackson - What Have U Done 4 Me Lately/ Nasty (interlude) at 1987 Grammys

Only a Jackson could. Only if today's performances were as exciting as this.

Amerie - Talkin' About/1 Thing/Touch mash up-Medley at the Soul Train Music Awards

She's the only one aside from beyonce and janet that I've seen dancing and singing well simultaneously

Amy Winehouse Rehab at David Letterman's

Best performance of rehab. * SHE IS SOBER*

Radiohead - 15 Step- At 2009 Grammys

Only Thom Yorke could twitch around the stage and still take the best performance of the night title.(made by yours truly)

That Radiohead performance got me going insane. I love the incorporation of the marching band. It was freakin' awesome. I remember watching it and thought to myself what a genius Thom Yorke is.

That Never again performance was great. Holy
sh!t at the 'does it huuuurt' @ 3:27, and the last Never again at the end Red Face

Christina's 'Hurt' at the VMA's was awesome

eeek, that was Whitney at her best! I hope she can still sound like that when she comes back

ahhh, Martina, love her and loved ALL those performances you posted

That Radiohead performance was all kinds of awesome!!!!!!!!! That was the best performance of the night!

I love youtubing on a boring night.

Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson:
" The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."

Baltimore Examiner (concert review):
"Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."

"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC

HAHA so true. They were one of the reasons for me to watch the 2009 grammys. It was GREAT! hahaha\

and the KC performance of Never Again remix was crazy. It such a vocal straining song imo and she pulls it off everytime!
