I totally forgot about Soulja Boy Tell 'Em. You can add "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" to that list too. I was tempted to add the Black Eyed Peas, but I don't think "Boom Boom Pow" is that bad.

Yeah, it's gotten to the point where I cant even listen to the radio anymore. That "Turn My Swag On" is just AWFUL! It's probably the most repetitive song I have ever heard. And yes "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" is terrible too!

Just look at Itunes top 100 and you'll see the worst of 2009.

"Hot N' Cold" had its moment but if I hear that god damn song one more f'ing time I'm gonna seriously check myself into the psych ward for going insane. "Thinking of You" was also a garbage song.

I think she'll definitely be a flash in the pan artist.

I would take "Heartless" and "Best I Ever Had" off that list. Those were good songs,IMO!

second, anything auto-tune just turns me off.
third, lyrics are okay, but Kanye West and singing don't go together.

This isn't a "worst of 2009" thread. This is a "bash anything that's popular" thread. Period.

I understand that 2009 hasn't been a great year for music, but some of the stuff that is being called "worst" really amazes me.

For instance, these are some of the songs that were mentioned that I would hardly call "worst":

Miley Cyrus, "The Climb"
-- Just so I make myself clear, I do NOT like Miley Cyrus at all, but there is nothing wrong with this song. If it was sung by Pink or Kelly Clarkson, then I doubt anybody would be dissing it. I despise Miley just as much as the next person, but this isn't a bad song.

Beyonce, "Halo"
-- No explanation needed. I honestly think people are just being haters if they think this song qualifies as "worst" of '09. I respect everyone's opinions and all, but seriously, this song is FAR from anything that's called "worst." It's actually one of the best singles of '09, IMO.

Keri Hilson feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo, "Knock You Down"
-- Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how this song is "bad" or "worst."

Keri Hilson feat. Lil' Wayne, "Turnin' Me On"
-- See above. Furthermore, this song was NOT released in 2009.

Also, Fearless and I Am...Sasha Fierce were NOT released in 2009. The haters are obviously lurking and just want to vent their hate for Taylor Swift & Beyonce, because if they read the thread title, they would have known that it says "2009," not "2008."

These hater threads are a turn off. We go through this every year.
