i don't think blake will get nominated in male country performance for she wouldn't be gone or in that case anything from his new cd, except maybe MAYBE country collab. for his song with miranda lambert
Male Country is too crowd this year. I think Paisley, Urban, Strait are locks for nominations.
Grammy 2010: Album of the Year -- Whitney Houston - I Look to You Oscar 2010: Best Actress In a Leading Role -- Marion Cotillard - 9 Emmy 2010: Guest Actress in a Comedy Series -- Catherine O'Hara - Curb Your Enthusiasm
yeah i'm thinking that if someone sneaks in it would be billy currington but that would be a really long shot hahaha but i also think that kenny will enter
I posted this in the General field as well, but I have a couple friends in the country side of the grammy noms and they are saying that Tanya Tucker's CD My Turn is being pushed hard for the Grammys. I guess has the ideal Grammy CD, it's a tribute to her late father, its country classics, its her first CD in years, its been getting consistently 4/5 star reviews and Tucker has never won a grammy.
Look for nominations in Album, female and collaboration.
Also the CD was produced by a legendary country producer so that helps too I guess.
^^^ I have been a fan of Tanya for the past 18 years now ever since I was nine years old. I would love to see her win a Grammy award to go with the one that she may already have! Go here to see what I mean. (smiles)
God bless you and her always!!!

I wonder if Carrie Underwood is going to win Female County Vocal again?? I would Love to see Someone like Miranda LAmbert win for Dead Flowers or Lee Ann Womack for Solitary!
IMO, "Just A Dream" still stands as one of, or maybe even the best vocal work that Carrie's ever done. It's a very haunting & chilling song, made even more moving by Carrie's spectacular performance.
And as of September 2009, it still is the best female country vocal performance of the year. Haven't heard anything better. (Martina's "Ride" comes close though.)
So I'd really, really hate for Carrie to lose the Grammy next year.

Taylor's album is much too pop to be considered in this field. Carrie Underwood and Sugarland were snubbed last year despite having great critical acclaim and strong sales. Popularity and sales do not cut it in this category as the voters are very traditional.
Carrie Underwood- Just a Dream Miranda Lambert- More Like Her Leanne womak- Solitary Thinking Martina McBride Reba- Strange?
I am not sure about the last category. I don't see them adding Taylor here either as her vocals are not Grammy level. Just being honest. After that Brenda Lee performance last year, I can't see the voters awarding Taylor in this category.
PS-- Double D- Love Story was submitted by Taylor in Female Country Vocal Performance, and it was bypassed. So she is not eligible in this category this year for Love Story. She will have to submit White Horse or You Belong with Me instead.
Yep, that wiki is wrong for Tanya. She actually didn't win a grammy unfortunately. They don't credit her with winning one, maybe cause it's various artists.
If you do a winners search on the Grammy's offical site, if you search Tanya Tucker it says she has no grammys.
