So there was a thread about live performances and since the Grammy show is all about the performances, here you go.
I would love to see Bjork perform on the show at least once.
Kelly Clarkson always sings great live, and I'd love to see her on, and perform 'Already Gone'
.
Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."
"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC
Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Jazmine Sullivan, Whitney Houston, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Kings Of Leon, Green Day, Paramore...
FYC Academy Awards:
* Best Picture: An Education * Best Actress In A Leading Role: Carey Mulligan for An Education * Best Actor In A Leading Role: Colin Firth for A Single Man * Best Actress In A Supporting Role: Penélope Cruz for Nine * Best Actor In A Supporting Role: Michael Gambon for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I would love to see any of these singers up there: Alison Krauss, LeAnn Rimes, James Otto, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney. (smiles)
God bless you and them always!!!

How I wish they had a pre show where Robert Plant, Alisson Krauss, Adele, Maxwell and every other person that falls under "bore" or "irrelevant" can perform in there.

^^^ To me, Alison Krauss should be someone who is at the top of the performance list. After all, no other lady in the music business has more Grammy awards than her. (smiles)
God bless you and her always!!!

I don't think Adele and Maxwell are irrelevant or a bore.Adele is still getting acclaim and Maxwell is once again getting acclaim and is due to have the number one album in the country next week with great sales numbers and is selling out concerts.I don't see how that makes him or her irrelevant. To have a successful comeback as he is doing right now, that's pretty exciting.

How?
Maxwell has more musicianship than most of those artists you mention could wish for. Do not knock homeboy because you don't care for his music.
But anyway, yawn! @ most of the performers being named. It seems like the same people over and over that are there every year.

.... Even if you are a million miles away, I can still feel you in my bed, near me, touch me, feel me and even at the bottom of the sea, I can still hear you inside my head, telling me, touch me, feel me, and all the time you were telling me lies

Just because an artist isnt relevant doesnt mean they cant perform on the show. If only relevant artists perform then we will be seeing Soulja Boy,Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers!

How so?
For one, there's no guarantee that if Beyonce performs that she'll do something like "Ego" or "Single Ladies," and I highly doubt she'll go for something like "Diva" at the Grammys. You saw her BET Awards performance. I think it's safe to say that we shouldn't ALWAYS expect a dance-filled Beyonce performance anymore.
And there is absolutely NOTHING boring about Maxwell. He's a brilliant artist with an amazing album out right now, and he should definitely be on the performance lineup for the show.
Eesh don't get all butt hurt about it and take "bore" as an attack. I love Josh Groban, he can give Snora Jones a run for her money in the boring department, I would have him perform with all the other boring and/or irrelevant people.
Who cares how much musicianship Maxwell or whoever has, I was talking about performances.
I love that when the Grammys come people will complain, "Oh that was a damn bore, the Grammys need to have better performances if the show is gonna suck" Make up your minds already. Anyways moving on before some people take this to another level......
It would be great to see Britney perform. She hasn't done that many big show perfromances lately, Shakira as well. Prince would be good too.
