Yes Britney in Dance Recording! Though GaGa would be more deserving outta the two, but If she won I wouldn't mind.

(Not exactly the Dance Field, but related) Hopefully for Best Remix Recording Armin van Buuren gets nominated for his remix of The Killers' "Human"!

I hope Lady GaGa wins Best Dance Album. The more I listen to it the more I like it. The album is just great and one of the best of the year.

"Circus" seems like standard Pop. I think that will go to Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and "Womanizer" will go to Best Dance Recording (or should).

I agree. "Womanizer" is going have some tough competition in this category though. "Poker Face" being one of them and the there's still so much eligibility period left that more new killer tracks can enter the field here. But if the Grammys want to award Britney as part of her comeback I can see them awarding her the consolation prize of Best Dance Recording for "Womanizer" instead of Pop Album, Female Pop Vocal or whatever other nominations she pulls in later this year.

I don't think they'll be that desperate to award her, the nominations should be enough since she's not a Grammy Favorite. Though she should really be nomed for "Womanizer" and I wouldn't mind a win (Right Now) but then again Lady GaGa is in the competition also. Either of those two would be worthy of the win.

Desperate? I don't think they would be.

Let's just say Britney receives a handful of nominations, 3-4 noms lets just say. If she loses the other 2-3 noms, then Best Dance Recording would be the one award that she should feel confident winning since she would be a multiple nominee and also a previous Grammy winner in this category.

Do you guys still think that Lady Gaga has chances of a Grammy next year? If she couldn't pull it off this year with "Just Dance", a much bigger hit and #1 on Billboard at voting time, I seriously doubt she will next year with "Poker Face".

So far, I see "Womanizer" as the only serious contender. It will all depend if it's submitted in this category. Britney's camp has already shown they're capable of major blunders when it comes to the Grammys ("Gimme More" in Pop Female, no "Piece of Me" in Dance, stupid)

Lady Gaga is becoming more popular than she was months ago, so I don't see why her lost this past year will hurt next Grammy season. It depends on her competition.

Britney is the front-runner so far. "Womanizer" was a big hit (#1 on Pop radio, #1 Billboard) and it has all the momentum at the moment. "Poker Face" is a great track, but nowhere near as catchy or big as "Womanizer". I just don't see Britney losing this one. And I am telling you right now they will televise this category live just so we can see Britney accept the award on stage.

Britney Spears is NOT the frontrunner in Best Dance Recording. Hell, "Womanizer" may not even get submitted there. It may go Pop. I remember people thinking "Gimme More" would go Dance and it went Pop. Not sure what to make of Lady GaGa's chances as of yet. Hopefully, she'll lose again (if nominated).

I'm thinking another true dance act will take the gold.

Don't you think they would submit "Circus" over "Womanizer" into Pop Vocal? I think "Womanizer" is clearly a dance track and would be more suitable in this category.

People thought "Gimme More" would be submitted into the Pop Field and "Piece of Me" into Dance Recording last year if I'm correct. People were flaming Brit's label for not submitting "Piece of Me" into Dance.

I personally think it was an odd choice not to submit any track by her in Dance since this category seems the most winnable one for Spears.

How can she NOT be the frontrunner? She's a previous winner in this category, which makes her an IMMEDIATE contender for the award. Not to mention she has all the factors going for her at the moment, while she had very little when she won for "Toxic" (which "Womanizer" was a bigger hit than). I actually thought that Jive pulled "Piece of Me" for a reason, which is to prevent Britney from being nominated at such an undeserving time. Same goes for "Gimme More" (should have been "Break the Ice") and Blackout (should have went for Electronic Album). They did not want to nominate her and just let "Blackout" run its course for "Circus". Besides, it doesn't really matter if the winner is a "true" dance artist because we've seen winners from Best New Artist who weren't really new, "Pop Vocal" awards going to R&B singers.... you get the point.

I clearly remember people on this board saying that "Gimme More" would be submitted to Best Dance Recording in 2007 for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

Yeah, I think her label would be better off submitting "Womanizer" to dance, while "Circus" and "If U Seek Amy" go pop. As we know, labels do submit foolishly. I wouldn't be surprised if ALL of her songs were submitted to pop and nothing in dance (this has happened before).

F.Y.I. -- Just because you are a previous winner in a category does NOT mean you're automatically the frontrunner. Duh!

If I put money down, it would be on Lady Gaga to win over Britney. I think both will get nomm'd though.

Yes, it does. If Britney isn't the frontrunner, then "Womanizer" sure as hell is. It's the BIGGEST hit out of all them and is a high quality dance song. Since you disagree, who do you think is the frontrunner and why?
