Troy, I couldn't agree with you more about the title. I hate it. But, supposedly this is the one that Clive wants, and it's with his favorite hit writers Dr. Luke and Max Martin. I guess this song was written for Kelly right after Breakaway, but, because she wanted to put out MD, they held on to it until now, so, I hope it's good. She needs something BIG to start this cd off.
This is the only song I'm worried about on the cd, because it's suppose to be the only song Dr. Luke contributed too. Only because he tends to rehash the same beat in his songs, and his lyrics are usually immature. But, on a good note, he usually has a good hook.
Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."

I actually liked My December and even though it flopped it was more of RCA dumping it and not promoting it. They had Never Again and the beautiful Sober which got no promotion. How I feel was a great hook song, actually a great diamond in the rough. If Rolling Stone is raving about her new album, I know this will be awesome. I think Kelly Clarkson could have one of the biggest comebacks. She is so likeable and the fans love her. Breakaway IMO is the best Idol album of anyone. It was pure awesome from beginning to end. Kelly became a huge mega star from that album and went six times platinum just in US alone. This album is going more back to the Breakaway days but knowing Kelly she will make it will a few twists. It will not be the same album. I have always admired Kelly because IMO she is an artist and takes risks. Every artist has a flop. I think what RCA wanted to do was scrap MD and rest Kelly for a couple years. They ended up resting Kelly and pretty much she has been laying low but this is perfect for her comeback.
Kelly IMO the first American Idol and always the best. Her voice nobody can match it and she is so beloved by the fans.
I still don't get how this album will "return to the Breakaway sound". "My December" was that different? Both albums had extremely strong pop/rock songs, and a couple clunkers as well.
Grammy FYC: Kanye West, 808s & Heartbreak; Black Eyed Peas, The E.N.D.; John Legend, Evolver; Paolo Nutini, Sunny Side Up; David Guetta, One Love; Kelly Clarkson, "Already Gone"; Jordin Sparks, "Battlefield"; Kings Of Leon, "Use Somebody"; Maxwell, "Pretty Wings"
There aren't too many cd covers nowadays that aren't photoshopped. This photographer, Mike Ruiz, is known for his over the top covers. I like it, so many people said MD was too dark and depressing (pffft) and to me, this shows a bright, happier, Kelly. The picture is sexy, sultry, yet fun and cheeky as well. It looks more like her than the "Thankful" or 'Breakaway' covers.
Hopefully the album cover, is just as bright and happy looking

I LOVE the title, there are SO many interpretations/ possibilities you can go with:
" to disguise oneself ; also : to go about disguised b : to take part in a masquerade"
"To change or modify so as to prevent recognition of the true identity or character of"
"to assume the appearance of something one is not"
