He might get a POP nomination. He has been nominated in Pop Male in the past.

I think it's a possibility, too. You have to be well-respected to win this category, and I think Maxwell is. I can see someone like Michael Buble winning here though, if he's eligible for anything.

I think Maxwell has a great chance at a Pop Male nomination. However, I'm not sold that he'll win. Rob Thomas' "Her Diamonds" seems to be the likely winner there. Pop Male is incredibly weak, like always, so who knows?

Maxwell has R&B Male wrapped up. I'm pretty certain of that.

Going to see Maxwell live on the 12th, and I can't wait!

I'm really feeling "Love You" right now. I know it isn't too likely but if he isn't at least nomianted for album of the year it will be a travesty

I would love to see "Love You" nominated and win Best Pop Male Vocal. That submission did surprise me at first.

.... Even if you are a million miles away, I can still feel you in my bed, near me, touch me, feel me and even at the bottom of the sea, I can still hear you inside my head, telling me, touch me, feel me, and all the time you were telling me lies

I just saw Maxwell live in concert in Atlanta last night (front row too...was sitting near Mycheal Knight from Project Runway) and he was AMAZING!!!!! I never knew what an excellent performer he was! Amazing vocals and even greater stage presence. I was excited that he performed both my faves by him: "This Woman's Work" and "Lifetime." And ya'll should have seen the the feathers come down from the ceiling during "Pretty Wings"!!! LOL. I have to agree with fionalive and say that "Fistful of Tears" is the ISH and I hope he releases it as his next single. He really does deserve to win R&B Album and be nominated in AOTY!!! Hope it happens.

For Your Grammy Consideration:
Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak
Adele for "Hometown Glory"
Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless
Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight
Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody"
The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' "
Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"

"Stop The World" or "Help Somebody" feat. Nas is slated to be the next single. I love both, but I LOVE LOVE "Help Somebody" and still haven't heard the remix with one of my favorite rappers, Nas. I hope they go with that one.

No, no, no Maxwell. Release "Cold" as the next single. That song is so enticing.

I do like "Stop The World" and "Help Somebody." Hell, I like every song on the album.

Ooh,what songs did Maxwell submit and to what catagories?
Also, saw him on the 3rd and as my grandmom used to say,"lawd have mercy".The man is talented.He...is an artist in every sense of the word.I can't even decide on what is my fave track on BSN anymore. To me,it is the best album of the year.To me BSN is a gem.
Oh,I heard somewhere that Help Somebody is being used in Anderson Cooper's Hero of the Year awards.I think Maxwell will be on there as well.

I really would love to see Maxwell take home the Grammy for Album of the Year. I don't think it would be impossible to happen. Yes, first he would need to get nominated, but after that...he has one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year, plus he's sold close to a million copies (which is a LOT in this day and age!). He's young, but has a classic jazz/R&B/neo-soul sound. His album features live instruments and is definitely Grammy voter friendly (as oppose to more contemporary R&B acts). Plus its been awhile since an R&B album won!

I doubt the Grammy for AOTY will go to U2 after their latest album's poor reception, Kanye keeps dig'n that hole for himself, Taylor Swift would be way too young for NARAS to select to win. So why not Maxwell???

My friend went to his concert in Charlotte, NC last night, and she said that it was one of the best concerts that she has EVER been too...Chrisette and Common were excellent, but apparently Maxwell brings the house down!

I'm happy about his success!!! Congrats, Maxwell!

Maxwell Makes Billboard History!

New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - New Ambassador of Soul Maxwell has entered the history books at Billboard with "Pretty Wings" and "Bad Habits," the two singles from the approaching-platinum album 'BLACKsummers'night.' Billboard's Gary Trust writes "For the first time in the 16-year history of the Adult R&B radio airplay chart, one act monopolizes the top two slots on the survey."
Maxwell has also earned some of the best reviews of his career, and is playing to bigger crowds than ever before on his current arena tour, selling out Madison Square Garden in NYC (his largest ever hometown show), the Verizon Center in Washington DC, the Spectrum in Philly, and more.
Plans are in the works for additional touring in 2010.

I want those Maxwell tickets now! I'm trying to get them free from off a radio station, but I think I will spare some change to see him on Oct. 22nd.
