I know once upon a time their used to be a rule that if an artist or group performed at the AMA's, then you couldn't perform at the Grammys.
I remember in 1994 when Whitney Houston performed at both shows (the AMA's in January and the Grammys in March), the Grammys experienced low ratings that year.
I don't follow the American Music Awards, but I don't believe that rule still exists. Or does it?

Actually that was not a rule, it was more of an ongoing arguement Michael Greene and Dick Clark had, I remember mr.Tom O'Neil mentioning it in the late 90s in an awards' preshow. I hope he can see the thread and enlighten us about it.
