OMG! What terrible news to hear. I bet the stress from all his rehearsing were too much on him. He hasn't really done much of anything of late, and that had to put a toll on him. My heart and prayers go out to his family, and may he RIP.

Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson:
" The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."

Baltimore Examiner (concert review):
"Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."

"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC

One of my cousins met him back in 06 and said that he was one of the nicest people he had ever met and that it was such of a kind of transcendent experience that no matter what, he'll always remember him that way.

CNN just reported that Michael is in a coma.

It would be near-fatal to TMZ if they are wrong.

LATimes has confirmed this, now Katie Couric reporting. Consider it, sadly, official.

I can't believe Michael Jackson has reportedly passed away. This can't be true. I'm trying my best to hold out hope, but not sure how it looks. So sad. He has always been a favorite of mine.

CNN isn't confirming it, but they are saying that other news outlets are reporting it now.

"The King of Pop" has died! This is such a sad time. I was really rooting for him to make a huge comeback. R.I.P. Mike.

I'm at a loss of words. CNN reports he is in a coma, but ABC news w/ Charlie Gibson announced Michael died.

I want so badly for Michael to be alright.

Some people, if they don't know, you can't tell 'em.

Very, very sad news. Jackson at 50 and Farrah Fawcett at 62. Much too young in this day and age.

"A movie is not good because it arrives at conclusions you share, or bad because it does not. A movie is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it: about the way it considers its subject matter, and about how its real subject may be quite different from the one it seems to provide."
- Roger Ebert, from the introduction to "Awake in the Dark" (2006)

I'm at a loss for words. I can't believe both MJ and Farrah are gone. And on the same day too. Good lord.

RIP MJ.

This site is very slow - most likely because it is part of the LATimes and they obviously are getting a lot of traffic apart from Goldderby.

RIP Michael. He was an odd duck, as many geniuses are, but man he made some great, great music. I'm 43 and music of the 80's is so special to me.

Thanks for the music, Michael.

Johnny Cash and John Ritter went on the same day,: September 11, 2003. May all of our legends rest in peace.

God bless you always!!!
