This thread is just meant to talk about new songs/albums you are enjoying. Instead of starting a thread for each artist this thread is just to discuss the music itself. Please refrain from making this thread a back and forth about Artist A being better than Artist B. You can be critical as long as you are actually focusing on the music itself.
I'll start...Currently I'm feeling "So Fly" by Slim. I really love the flow of this song. It really just makes me nod my head and sing along. It is just nice and smooth...and not too loud like some hip-hop flavored songs tend to get. I liked 112 in the past so it is good to see Slim again.
I'm also feeling "Chasing Pavements" by Adele. I haven't been able to stop listening since I saw her on SNL. I do actually think the SNL version of the song is better but the CD version is still great. I'm seriously thinking about getting her album.
FYC-Album of the Year: Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night
I'm actually anticipating the new Common "Universal Mind Control" album, despite those fearing the party direction he is going in. Both singles he released ("Universal Mind Control" & "Announcement") are DOPE!

I LOVED "announcement"...when is the album supposed to come out?

12/9, same date as 50 Cent and Jadakiss. "Announcement" has a dash of Biggies "Just Playin" in the beat.
I'm currently feeling Lady Gaga and Snow Patrol's albums that I got today. I was so surprised at myself because I usually have to take like a full day and a half to listen to a whole album but I sat and listened to Lady Gaga's album in full today. I got through half of Snow Patrol's album today and plan on listenig to the rest tomorrow. I'm loving both of them, though.
I'm also in love with T.I.'s album, Paper Trail. It's so much better than T.I. vs. TIP. And Solange's Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams is the sh!t. I love it and I'm playing it non-stop.
ABBA - The Definitive Collection Bettye LaVette - I've Got My Own Hell To Raise Cyndi Lauper - Bring Ya to the Brink Susan Tedeschi - Hope and Desire Original Cast Album - Grey Gardens

Well, it's not really new... but since she released "What I Cannot Change" as a single, i've been re-listening to the entire FAMILY album by LeAnn Rimes.
And i have to say, one year later and it's still as stellar as when it was first released. It never gets old. Amazing album. It deserved a lot more awards attention than what it got.

Totally agree. Probably the most underrated country album of the last 10 years. I can't believe they took this long to release a 2nd single, after the first single was a hit.

Well, according to Wikipedia, "What I Cannot Change" is the 3rd single. She released "Good Friends & A Glass of Wine" as the 2nd single.
Can't LeAnn's record label repackage this or something? Just so it can get more attention. I'll be thrilled if LeAnn nabs a Grammy nom for "What I Cannot Change". Female Country AND Best Country Song.
