Figured Rihanna could use a new thread for big news: 4th studio album due out November 23, 2009! "The Wait is Ova" was posted on her new twitter account, as well as on her official website with a new "R" logo. Here's a link:
Rihanna's Official Site

So what do you all think? Excited as I am for this?

What the hell?

11/23 is only about a month away! Where's the promotion? Where's the first single?

What is wrong with label reps these days? You have to promote an album. People still seem to think an album will sell just because it's the holiday season. suicide

That's a Monday. Are you sure it isn't the single that's being released that day?

Anyways, I can't wait to hear her new music.

The single is being released on Nov.23rd, not the album.

Rihanna's new album has always been tentatively scheduled for a December release.

Yeah, but look how long they promoted Mariah's album and that didn't do any good. Rihanna won't have any problem getting the word out about the album once the single drops.

That said, UGGGGH. Go away Rihanna. Spring of next year is the earliest she should be coming back. Hopefully the album will be pushed.

Beyonce and Rihanna are like tag team partners. Both dominate and really don't give all the other R&B diva wannabe's a chance...lol

I can still tolerate Beyonce. Surprising isn't it? And I've definitely warmed up to "Sweet Dreams"...lol

I heard Rihanna is dropping like a week or two before Chris Brown. That should be an interesting battle. LOL

Who did she work with on this album?

I believe Stargate produced the first single.

Hopefully, it's not another "Irreplaceable" rehash. Stargate recycles that same beat and makes it a hit all over again. I will never understand it.

And didn't Stargate produce her mega smash hit "Don't Stop The Music"?

Yea, they did. The only time they made something out of the ordinary is when they sampled a Michael Jackson song. Creative.
