I was listening to them today and thinking about it-I think that The Killers should put Day & Age in Alternative Album next year. They don't have a prayer in Rock with the likes of U2, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, and Green Day. It's such a great album though, I'd put it in Alternative if I were them.

Best Alternative Music Album: "Day & Age," The Killers
They need to stay out of the Rock field away from Bruce and Bono and their music is a better fit for the Alternative field, anyway.
It's too bad "Human" missed out on a Song of the Year nomination due to its untimely release near the end of the recent eligibility period. These guys are writing some of the best songs of the past few years and amazingly still have not won a Grammy. It's a shame and an outrage.
FYC: "Up" for Best Picture and Kathryn Bigelow for Best Director
New Yeah Yeah Yeah's cd is phenomal, and they've been nominated for both of their previous efforts. Do you guys think their pretty much a lock for alternaitve album?
The only thing is, the album could be considered dance. It's totally different for them.
I also think Lily Allen has a strong shot again next year, although I suppose she could go pop.

I need to check YYY's album out. And I'm also a huge fan of Lily Allen's latest. I think it's awesome. At this point, she's pop. Alt is usually for less mainstream acts, but Lily is getting up there.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs doing dance? I've gotta check this one out!
Me too! YYY's have a dance album? Wow, is it THAT different? Now I have to go hear it.
I would like to support the nomination of Kings of Leon for the song "Use Somebody". I really like it.
And I am really, really hoping that some other (BETTER) U2 single gets some traction. Because while U2 is one of my favorite bands, I really don't want to see them beat a bunch of better songs with the mediocre "Get On Your Boots". I am still bitter about "Vertigo" beating "American Idiot".
