KATY PERRY -- "Waking Up in Vegas"

Video Clip

The song isn't anything special, but I love this video. The parade sequence in particular is stunning. Very colorful and eventful depiction of Las Vegas life, and I liked the whole rise and fall aspect going on there.

love this song. its fun and catchy. and the video is a joy to watch. i love the fact that she actually mouths the words in scene rather than cutting away to a solo shot like most videos do. it kept with the concept

This song and video has made me like Katy Perry. She definitely isn't the one hit wonder I thought she would be. Good for her!

I love all her videos post "I Kissed a Girl." They each fit her songs so well.

My big pet peeve though is all the random cell phone product placement she uses (see "hot n cold" too). It's so blatantly obvious and random! Fergie did it too in the "Clumsy" video.

BEYONCE -- "Ego"

Video Clip

The video takes a couple of cues from "Single Ladies," and I'd have picked better singles off of "Sasha Fierce" to release than this one, but it works out in the end and it's done well.

I like the production of this song A LOT. But not a fan of Beyonce on it. The video is too much like Single Ladies for me. Should have been more original

Yeah, I'd agree that there was no reason for that video to end up looking like "Single Ladies" part 2.

Beyonce has got to move on to a new video concept. This is the second time she's tried to duplicate "Single Ladies" success with this and "Diva". Move on, woman.

WHAT? A year later? OVER a year later?

Is this a new video or is it the same one with the white background and just the two of them playing? I thought this had already been a single in the US...

I'm not a Beyonce fan but she has impressed me of late with "Halo" and "Single Ladies", even "Diva".

"Ego" however, I wouldn't have chosen as a single and that video is something we've seen from her before. I wouldve picked "Scared of Lonely" to close out the album.

this video is really hot. i'm glad the PCD were able to somewhat salvage this album. Hush Hush is a killer track, probably due to the I Will Survive cover bit, and I hope its a big hit for them

Way to go Kanye. Glad he decided to push this as a single since it took off on its own. Hopefully this song can regain the momentum it had about a month ago.

The P-Cat Dolls are trying to bring disco back! That was a fun video. The stairs bit was particularly eye-catching. That was also the second big plug for Campari.

They took it off YouTube. And I'm too lazy to look for it, though I really want to see it.

Lady GaGa's "Paparazzi" just premiered today. A very high budget, sexual, flashy and weird video. The weirdness is just GaGa persona I guess. It all works out to be epic.

"Paranoid"'s a great song, and I'm going to revisit "808s & Heartbreak" soon to give the album another try, b/c the singles choices have been strong, and the album might have been more cohesive than I gave it credit for initially. I'm still hoping for "Street Lights" to close out the album. Having Rihanna in this is a nice touch, although she's just there as a fashion plate (no singing). I guess some allusions could be drawn here and there with the Chris Brown saga, but it would be reaching. She looks stunning though, so that always helps.
