"808s & Heartbreaks" is totally a slow-burn album. It took a couple listens to get into it, but I think it's absolutely superb. Kanye should have another AOTY contender.

I thought that the long tracking shots were great, and this somber song goes along well with the video's content. The beginning close-up lasted too long for me.

This is a great song. I've never seen lighting quite used like this before for a music video. I'd love to see this make the cut for Short-Form Music Video.

Weird video that seems to be that way just for the sake of it. The song's decent, but the band's done much better before.

"21 Guns" is the best song off of Green Day's new album by a mile. That really needed to be the next single, so great choice there. "Kids" is a strong pick for MGMT too.
The "Paparazzi" video is insane. I don't know what wavelength Lady GaGa was on when she was making that. My favorite parts were when she was dancing around in crutches and then the white stocking dance sequence with the poofy fabric on one side. Jonas Akerlund's one of the most singular music video directors out there, and this is no exception. I wish he'd team up with Madonna again. Bonus points for Alexander Skarsgård being in this.

She has an interesting sound and is someone to look out for in Best New Artist. I liked the retro looks she had in the video timeline the most. "From My Heart to Yours" is wonderful.

I don't know why they finally released a video for this song after all this time, especially considering that fan-made video was serving perfectly fine as a substitute. And that poor little kid looks genuinely terrified...
