"Sutilmente" wasn't submitted.
SKANK has submitted two songs for Record of the year:
I don't understand why "Janta" and "Doce Solidão" weren't submitted to the category of Best Brazilian Song...

Unfortunately, Marcelo Camelo was not submitted for Best New Artist, Juansa.
And I really think "Janta" can score a nomination for Song of the Year!! Hopefully, LARAS voters will remember a brazilian song. They always forget about our amazing artists on the main categories, except for Best New Artist - where we always have someone nominated.

Kams, sorry, but that is not my prediction, is just my pick, my favorites in each category. I love "Janta" but I'm not sure of its real possibilities.
A true prediction has to rely on the commercial factor and must include everywhere the names of Shakira and Juanes, for example.
My prediction in general field, pop, rock, urban... coming soon.
I know we're still in 2009 and its *really* early, but I just heard a sneak peak of Bajo Otra Luz featuring Julieta Venegas, Nelly Furtado and Mala Rodriguez and looks like we've got a Best Collab for 2010.
Nelly F. should dominate the general field. Her songs are great! and Manos al Aire is doing pretty well on international charts and billboard latin charts. Watch out shakira!
For Your Grammy Consideration: Not Whitney Houston
