There are two I'm looking forward to that come out relatively soon.

I have no interest in seeing any of the Twilight movies, or reading the books for that matter. That being said, the track list for "New Moon" is pretty impressive:
01 Death Cab For Cutie - "Meet Me On The Equinox"
02 Band Of Skulls - "Friends"
03 Thom Yorke- "Hearing Damage"
04 Lykke Li - "Possibility"
05 The Killers - "A White Demon Love Song"
06 Anya Marina - "Satellite Heart"
07 Muse - "I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)"
08 Bon Iver and St. Vincent - "Rosyln"
09 Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - "Done All Wrong"
10 Hurricane Bells - "Monsters"
11 Sea Wolf - "The Violet Hour"
12 Ok Go - "Shooting The Moon"
13 Grizzly Bear (Feat. Victoria Legrand) - "Slow Life"
14 Editors - "No Sound But The Wind"
15 Alexandre Desplat - "New Moon (The Meadow)"

Lykki Li, Ok Go, Death Cab, the Killers...color me there.

The second one is for my most anticipated movie of the year, "Where the Wild Things Are". The album is being credited to Karen O (who I'm literally in love with) and the Kids. Artists from YYY's, TVOTR, and Liars also make contributions. The single, "All is Love", can be heard HERE.

I'm also sure a lot of us are anticipating the soundtrack to "Precious". Anything else you guys are looking forward to, or have heard recently you'd like to share? How about your favorite soundtracks ever, or favorite scores? Movies, Broadway, TV?

Jesus...that does sound like a good album.

My favorite soundtrack ever is probably City Of Angels with "Angel" from Sarah McLachlan, "Iris" from the Goo Goo Dolls, and "Uninvited" from Alanis Morissette - three of my favorite songs...ever.

I was actually listening to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack earlier today; it has held up remarkably well.

Anyone else a fan?

Such a good song!!

To tell you the truth I don't really listen to soundtracks but there is always a song here or there that I do like from a movie.

Some Examples

-"I'm Still Here" - John Rzenik from the Goo Goo Dolls, from the film Treasure Planet

-"Old Habbits Die Hard" - Mick Jagger, from the Fim Alfie

-"The Best Day of My Life" - Jesse McCartney, from the film A Cinderella Story

-"So Close" - Jon Mclaughlin, from the film Enchanted

-"Rule The World" - Take That, from the film Stardust

-"I Can Go The Distance" - Unknown, from the film Disney's Hercules

I love Whitney, God knows I do, but I can't stand almost any of the Bodyguard songs. This is coming from someone who lived the Bodyguard era, saw the movie and learned every lyric of every Whitney song on that soundtrack, but it kinda became too much to me. Now I can barely listen to "Run To You".

HOWEVER, I LOVE the "Preacher's Wife". So deep, so beautiful. I live for that soundtrack, let me tell you.

Gotta check "Waiting To Exhale".

"City Of Angels" has to be one of my favorites. I also recommend "Hope Floats" and "Reality Bites".

It's funny how movies don't really focus on soundtracks anymore, but the ones that do, usually find some sort of success. Look at Juno, Twilight, etc.

One interesting one coming out is for the LeBron James film MORE THAN A GAME. It already features a lot of high profile songs that have been released as singles like:

* Drake featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne, & Eminem - "Forever"
* Ester Dean & Chris Brown - "Drop It Low"
* Mary J. Blige - "Stronger"

For Your Grammy Consideration:
Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak
Adele for "Hometown Glory"
Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless
Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight
Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody"
The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' "
Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"

WOW...I can't believe there's been about 20 posts in this thread and yet no one has mentioned the Purple Rain soundtrack. Does anyone else besides me listen to this album from time to time?
