Get over yourself. I never said that I was "bothered." I said that "I couldn't believe it."
Hmm the topic wasn't about myself, so I don't get where that came from, you seen tense, dude. Loose up!
.... Even if you are a million miles away, I can still feel you in my bed, near me, touch me, feel me and even at the bottom of the sea, I can still hear you inside my head, telling me, touch me, feel me, and all the time you were telling me lies

I'm watching the show again now, so maybe I'll hear something different this time around. But what I heard from Ciara last night was truly horrendous, IMO.

Well, Ciara wasn't the only one who gave a horrendous performance. Besides Monica and Keyshia, Maxwell, one of Ne-Yo's numbers and maybe one other, I can't think of any really good performances that night, not even from "big name" stars. The majority of the performances was just okay or just plain horrid. Ciara wasn't the worst by far.
I think the show has been in great decline since DEBRA LEE took over BET. This used to be the best live performance show for urban music at least in my opinion, now its mediocre.

Honestly, I think the show would've been great if Stephen Hill & Debra Lee hadn't revamped the entire thing due to Michael Jackson's death.
They should have dedicated the show to him and done a segment on him. Janet's appearance was the highlight of the night, and Jamie/Ne-Yo's duet was in good taste. All of that could have stayed.
They should've announced immediate plans for a Michael Jackson tribute special separate from the awards. That way, we wouldn't have gotten the mess that we got Sunday night. Producers wouldn't have sacrificed the integrity of the show, and MJ would have gotten the tribute that he truly deserved.

Oh wow you all didn't like the BET Awards? First time it airs is always the most interesting time to watch I see they cut 3/4 of Don Cornelius and when Eddie Levert cussed and it slipped through editing.
For me the Ojays tribute and performance was the best of the night.
This video by producer Kwame sums up how the award show should have went http://bit.ly/191Ho6
After rewatching the BET Awards last night since I missed a lot of it on Sunday, it just confirmed what I've always thought -- this show stinks! It was so ghetto and unorganized. None of the performances or skits (save 3 or so) were worthwhile. This was my first time watching the show and it will be the last. Thumbs down BET.

I don't think anyone is saying she was "that good". We just enjoy her little performance, that's all. No biggy, you know!

They also blurred out the little girls in Weezy's performance!

For some of you to call the BET Awards GHETTO some people may take that offencive lol you know how black people get.
They still could've put on a better show!
And I dont have a problem with Gucci saying the BET Awards were Ghetto because that's exaclty what they were! And Im sure most posters would agree with me whether their black, white or any other race.

I thought the award show was mixed at best and yes...plenty of moments were ghetto, haha...there's no other word that could describe it. I'm sorry, but half the time people would forget to announce a presenter or everything would go silent first for like 30-seconds before Jamie Foxx remembered he was a host and would introduce people.
I'm not sure if this question had been answered earlier or not, but why did Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo have to perform 3 times each??? I kept hearing that the award show would be expanded to include more performances, but I didn't realize those would be coming from the same performers that were already scheduled to appear. I felt like some people backed out or something and that's why they decided to have these cats perform more than once.
There was no need for "She Got Her Own" to be perfomed. Its an old song. I get the "Blame It" performance, as well as the Michael Jackson tribute performances, but not that one.
The worst part of the night, however, was definitely the O'Jays tribute, which lasted for like an hour!!! After the tribute performances (about 3 songs), Donny boy kept talking and talking and talking and no one knew what the hell he was talkin' about. You know how old people do when they get to telling stories! haha. Then of course the O'Jays made fun of Don and did the same thing! After they finished talking, I was like "Thank God!"...then they went on stage to perform and I was like...isn't it time for a commercial already? After they finished that first song, I was like: "I guess that was nice", then they went into song #2 and I was like: "What the hell?"...then song 3. That segment was TOO LONG!!!!!!! I love that they paid tribute to the O'Jays, but completely killed the mood of the award ceremony with that hour (or at least it felt that way...I know it had to be close to it though)!
Also, to comment on BET changing everything in 3 days. How much work did they really have to do? It's not like Ne-Yo, Ciara, or Jamie Foxx had any elaborate dancing, sets, or lighting for their MJ performances. They all sung ballads in a spotlight. The only one that required dancing or anything special for that performance was the opening number with New Edition and Bobby Brown. Other than that and adding Janet at the end, they didn't have to change much. I realize behind the scenes they might have tried to do more (I know Beyonce was suppose to do "Smooth Criminal" and then changed at the last minute to her own song...classy move B! I also know that Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Brown were all "in talks" to appear at the last minute, but clearly that didn't happen).
Overall, the award show was OK. It was a little too long and needed a little more diversity as far as the performances went (i.e. not Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo for every other one). I didn't like how they didn't announce the nominees for the categories (they probably let the winners know ahead of time this year, b/c of the MJ situation, which may have caused other performers to back out?). Hope next year is better! In the end, I'm glad that they at least celebrated MJ's legacy!
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"

I see no problem with Gucci saying it was GHETTO either but I'm black and I have Alot of black friends who go crazy over that word but I dont mind.
Me either. It's not like the word "Ghetto" is something to be only associated with black people. Anyone can be associated with the word if they fit the category!
