Can't wait. Which ones do you think are the ballads and which the uptempo ones?
I think Change will be a ballad. I've heard Katrina's demo. Numbers 3, 5, & 8 were played at CMT Invitation Only but the people that were there didn't really say anything about them being ballads.
"Mama's song" is about a girl telling her mom that she's found a guy that's good and respectful like her mom wanted for her.
"Temporary Home" was inspired by "Purpose Driven Life" that Carrie was reading at the time. It's about Earth being a temporary home.
"Undo It" is about wanting to undo a relationship. That's all I know.
Hey thanks for that! Now we've heard a clip of "Mama's song", it's a pretty good ballad.

I like Timbaland's 'Shock Value', mostly cuz I really like the diversity of special guests, plus it helped launch the careers of One Republic and Keri Hilson. Here's some info on next month's 'Shock Value II' I found at FMQB.com:
When Timbaland unveils Shock Value II on November 24, it will feature appearances by an eclectic list of artists, including Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, The Fray, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Keri Hilson and Nickelback, according to a BBC News report. The first single taken from the album will be "Morning After Dark" featuring SoShy.
Another interesting lineup!! Miley Cyrus, Drake, Nickleback, Katy Perry, The Fray and Justin Timberlake on the same album?? Even though I don't particularly like some of them *cough*NICKLEBACK*cough*THEFRAY*cough*, I'm still interested to hear what they sound like with beats provided by Timbaland.

This is getting pathetic. Artists are just releasing albums at the last minute all willy nilly. No promotion or anything. These artists are desperate to capitalize on holiday sales. Oh well we can't really blame 'em; album sales have been in the toilet all year.

Haha, yeah...very interesting, though! And I just listened to the new single, "Morning After Dark" f/ ShoShy, and I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Typical Timbo track, with serviceable production, but it's pretty bland, radio-friendly hip-hop. Only the great production at the end of the song really kicks it up the tiniest of notches.

Not that it is very exciting news, but one of my favourite female artists, Enya, is releasing a best of CD. I don't think I'll be getting it, given I've got most of her catalogue. But check out here album cover. It's awesome. http://www.enya.com/images/vboe.jpg

That's really interesting. I LOVED "Shock Value" so hopefully this album will live up to that one. I can't believe how little promotion this is getting though.
And apparently, Robin Thicke is releasing an album too? Jeez, seems like everyone is releasing an album in the next month. It's overwhelming.

So I find out today that Wyclef Jean released a new album today? WTF is going on? Everyone is releasing albums with no promotion.
