Simply whose grammy would you take away from them. Just think of the power if you could take a grammy away from the winner and give it to someone else. But that someone else had to be a fellow nominee from that same category.
Simply this year *I would take away Coldplay's grammy for song of the year and give it to Chasing Pavements simply because all coldplay songs sound the same.
*I would take away Daft Punk grammy for electronic/dance album and give it to Cyndi. Simply Daft Punk was so last decade.....

By your reasoning, Cyndi Lauper is even older than Daft Punk, don't be daft.
It's when the Grammys go chasing novelty acts they usually go wrong.
There's just too many to name, but here's a few Grammys I'd take away:
Ashanti - Best Contemporary R&B Album (Ashanti)
Beyonce - Best Female R&B Vocal Performance ("Dangerously In Love 2") - Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals ("The Closer I Get To You") - Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals ("So Amazin'")
June Carter Cash - Best Female Country Vocal Performance ("Keep On The Sunny Side")
Christopher Cross - Record Of The Year ("Sailing") - Album Of The Year (Christopher Cross) - Song Of The Year ("Sailing") - Best New Artist - Best Arrangement ("Sailing")
Kelly Clarkson - Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("Since U Been Gone") - Best Pop Vocal Album (Breakaway)
Alicia Keys - Song Of The Year ("Fallin'") - Best R&B Song ("Fallin'") - Best R&B Album (Songs In A Minor) - Best R&B Song ("You Don't Know My Name")
Shelby Lynne - Best New Artist
Sarah McLachlan - Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("I Will Remember You" - Live)
Ne-Yo - Best Male R&B Vocal Performance ("Miss Independent") - Best R&B Song ("Miss Independent")
James Taylor - Best Male Pop Vocal Performance ("Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight")
U2 - Record Of The Year ("Walk On") - Album Of The Year (How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb) - Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals ("Vertigo") - Best Rock Song ("Vertigo") - Best Short Form Music Video ("Vertigo")
Kanye West - Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group ("South Side") - Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("American Boy")
There are way too many, but I still don't see how Usher won either of his Grammys in Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. He should only have three Grammy Awards.
The Chieftains & Van Morrison shouldn't have won Best Pop Collaboration over Mariah & Boyz II Men.
Britney Spears should have won Best New Artist in 2000.
Al B. Sure!, James Ingram, El DeBarge & Barry White - "The Secret Garden" should have won Best R&B Group in 1991.
I'll be back with some more.

Damn Gwen. Send that Grammy on over to Fiona Apple.
Completely agree.
Just a few:
Alicia Keys Best New Artist Song of the Year, "Fallin" Best R&B Song, "Fallin" Best R&B Album, Songs in A Minor Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, "No One" Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, "Superwoman"
Beyonce Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group, "The Closer I Get To You" Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group, "So Amazing"

Hopefully you'd give it to Madonna because Ray of Light is probably the only other album in that lineup that would've made a worthy winner.
Actually, yes. My point is that nothing happened to Lauryn Hill's career after that win. I know that that album was considered the best by all music publications, but it was a little too much too soon for her. I don't deny that it was a worthy album, but I would have preferred Madonna's Ray Of Light in my very personal opinion.

What about Shania Twain's brilliant Come On Over? That would have been a deserving winner if Lauryn Hill weren't in the running.
